Subject: How do you avoid someone who is ALWAYS AROUND?

I just wanted to ask other members....do you know someone that you were told to ignore but this person is constantly there? ;) ;)

Whether it be someone on the internet, someone in your school, someone in your office, or someone among your family and friends,  its actually really easy to ignore the person you have been told to ignore or who you have decided to ignore.

You simply bite your tongue whenever they raise a subject - no matter how much you are dying to comment.

There are two women in my office who I have become a professional ignorer of !!  Took them a few months to get the hint !

On the net its actually easier.  You just ignore their posts completely.

Well, I wasn't told to ignore them, but I've tried and they're always there

Well, you could start a super secret society and make yourself crazy by acknowledging EVERYTHING they do with some similar idiotic response or action.
That would be fun to do! ;)

I know a person at work that only talks to me by asking off-the wall questions. The stupid thing is I try to answer them.

Just tell them to leave you alone, then they'll go away, sure maybe they'll be a bit mad, but they won't annoy you anymore.

...unless of course they're complete jerks.  Move.

Pretend they are not there. Ignore them. They'll eventually get the message.

If in the forums, ignore the person's threads at all costs unless the threads are of substance and non-repetitive.

Okay, but why should YOU be the one who has to move?

Because you usually can't convince the other person to do it.  Move.

I know though that its really hard to say something like this to someone...and theres no doubt about it that they will feel really low after you say it, and may leave you feeling a little guilty...but hey, there are some things around that you gotta do...
