Subject: Rick Springfield Concert Review!

Written By: RockandRollFan on 03/14/04 at 10:25 a.m.

I went to see him this past Friday and....he STILL Rocks!  It was a great concert. He started off with a couple from his brand new CD (Shock-Anger-Denial-Acceptance....which I WILL be purchasing next week) and then rolled into the one that I think should be played around here but never is...."Affair Of The Heart." He had a very nice blend of old and new throughout. We sat in the upper tier front row (I could hang out over the railing!) and needless to say we had a great view.  It was at The Paramount Theatre in Downtown Denver....on the 16th Street Mall....and it's like an old opera house....very cozy and viewer friendly. Speaking of friendly...about halfway through his set, which he blazed through for a bit over 2 hours, he walked right down into the crowd.  He went about twenty rows back right through the center and then let a ton of paople follow him back ON stage for a little while.  He is a very personable guy who really showed love for his fans and I would most definately go see him again  :D

Sounds like a great night.

I wish he would feel the need to visit his mum down here and that way we could get to see him.

I seriously couldnt name the last year he toured Oz.

He still looks GOOD !!

I wouldn't mind seeing a Rick Springfield concert!  Heck, it's been years since I've seen any concerts!  :(

I just saw your post and immediately went to the Rick website! My wife and I are huge fans...he's coming to the NY State Fair August 28th! Can't wait to surprise her with tickets. Thanks for the heads-up. I saw some west coast dates for his tour on VH1 Classic (my favorite channel!) but wondered if he was coming back east!  Thanks again! Later  :D

Don't give up hope, CF ;) I hadn't been to a concert since '92 when I saw Van Hagar at the old MicNichols Sports Arena in Denver....then last May I started to go to concerts again....it's been great :)
