Subject: Well, it looks like I may be moving to CA!
Hi all!
I just got a phonecall from a place in CA asking me to come in for an interview.
Funny, after 6 months of hunting in Vegas, with no phonecalls or anything, I get an interview in California. Figures I guess.
Oh well, I'll be moving in with my best friend of like, my entire life so its not that bad.
Just thought I should also mention the town, I'll be living in.
How would :-*Arcadia, CA sound to some? Sounds good to me!! Now thats a good sign if you ask me! :-* ;D
I'm not making it up, Arcadia is near Pasadena, in LA county, about 30 minutes from LA. I'm psyched!

Hey, Rio, that sounds good to me! :) I know where Arcadia, Pasadena are; in fact, after the Northridge earthquake 10 years ago, we were living in various motels and hotels in that area, since our mobile home was damaged. In fact, I've been through that neck of the woods many times, especially during the 90s, when my mother was working in West Covina, which is in the east San Gabriel Valley.
By the way, I now live in Oxnard, which is in Ventura County, by the ocean.

I like the idea of Arcadia, CA because I am a Duranie and I think it would be funny to say, "Yeah, I'm from Arcadia!"

Right now I live in Las Vegas, NV. Its not going very well with the employment situation so I have to go where the opputunites are, and I already have a job offer in CA. So, I'm off!

Have fun meeting your new neighbors.
Being relatively closer to the beach than the mountains should be fun in the summertime. And don't forget unless you have satelllite radio, that many of the cool radio stations have 80's night or 80's lunchtime request shows in addition to the modern alterno/rock they play all the time.
Look on the web for LA/ Orange County and see what I mean. But if you like small station radio, there are the college stations and an indie station with NO DJ! Just lots of punk and alterno pop and very little advertizements and no website: 103.1FM== they play flaming lips, ramones, elastica,L7, Marley, s.Pistols, Polyphonic Spree, Morrissey, Cure, Clash, Joy Division, and lots more. They also have a Saturday morning feed of 80s rock with former MT-VJ Nina Blackwood among other guests who host spans of time.

Well, the move is off for now.
Seriously. The day after I put this post up, Petsmart called me and asked me if i was still interested in working there! I applied there 2 months ago!!!!! Oh well. I couldn't turn down a job offer you know? So, I went for the interview, passed the background check(obviously ;D) and I just took my drug test today which will come back clean, because I am good girl! So I will be starting work pet grooming next week!
