Subject: Seen Any Good Movies Lately?

Written By: jaytee on 04/22/04 at 10:30 am

I saw "Eternal Sunshine On The Spotless Mind" yesterday.  It had some wonderful reviews but for some reason it just didn't grab me.  I'm not normally a Jim Carrey fan but I quite like him in this role.  I found him disturbingly attractive.  :-[  The acting was good, the story was good but found it dull.  Doesn't seem to add up does it?  Who else has seen it?

Kill Bill Volumes 1 & 2. I don't think I've ever enjoyed a movie as much as I enjoyed that one.

Last movie I saw in the theater was 50 First Dates. It was cute/funny.

I really wanna see Kill Bill Volume 2

I also want to see the new movie based on the bible about the end of the world. Its not out yet. Whats it called???

Scooby Doo 2 was great, wasn't it?  I loved that one and I also loved The Passions of the Christ.

Next movie I plan on seeing is Shrek 2.

It couldnt be 'The Day after Tomorrow' its not based on the Bible. its about global warming.

The only "end of the world" movie series based on the Bible I can think of is the 'Left Behind' series but the final movie is a long way off. hehe.

Havent been to the movies since Feb when I saw Love Actually and Cold Mountain.

On DVD I have been enjoying:
The Mummy with Brendan Frasers commentary,
American Werewolf In London with and without commentary and all its great specials,
and the newest release - my all time fave Aussie movie The Man From Snowy River - no commentary which is disapointing but at least its all been digitally remastered - sick of watching my faded old videos.

I haven't seen Cold Mountain (it doesn't really interest me - and I think Nicole Kidman is very over rated) but I have to say that I absolutely LOVED Love Actually.  One of the best movies I have ever seen.  Very funny - plus it had Colin Firth in it.  Who could ask for more?

The trailer to Cold Mountain turned me off the film right from the start.
