1991 - I would love to repeat the happiest year of my childhood. Re-write a bit of history while I'm at it.

I think Zager and Evans (who were the only musical act from Lincoln, NE--my hometown-- ever to score a Number One hit on the pop charts) were smoking a little bit too much of the hippie lettuce, if you get my drift. :D

Speaking of songs with "Years"...nineteen-hundred and eighty-five by Paul McCartney and Wings was great because although I'm now divorced, THAT year was great because i got married......and 1999 by Prince because I did "Party" ;)

Me too, but only if I knew then what I know now. I sure would've got me a plane ticket in about 1980... ;) :P

Two parts to this question: What would I go back to, and what would I come forward to..
I'd probably want to go back to 1999. I lived a lot of mistakes in that year, and apart from having exams which coincided with my birthday, I'd rather like to do that again, because I was practically mental for most of them. Though I only had one exam (history) which took place on my birthday, it was a rather annoying fact.
And then, that's also the time I met Mel for the first time. I could remove all of the mistakes I had previously made, and I could start afresh with so many people.
That would be a blast, but I'm just sad that it's never going to happen.

I'd also love to go forward to the year 2010. I invision so many things by then... but I just don't know what they are yet. Or so I'm told. I have no idea where I'm going to be in six years time, but it's going to be fascinating to find out!
(Plus, by then, I hope to have married and had thousands and thousands of kids. That's got to be something to look forward to - at least in the long term, if not in the short!)
I've got everything planned for then, but I highly doubt things are actually going to work that way.
(And, thousands and thousands?! Methinks I was joking!)

But then, there's also the deathclock school of thought which states that I'm going to die as a 93-year-old man, in February 2080. Though I'd like to avoid it, I'd love to see myself outlive it..

I wish I could see 1969. But then again after watching Back To The Future so many times I would probably wan't to experiance the 50s - 80s. ;)
