I played computer games until 1:00 pm. Then I went to work and tried to fit in with this new team of keyers as I have been moved from my old team. I've been a bit quiet but I think they are warming to me.

It's scary because every time I try to talk to someone I have no idea what to talk about.  :-\\

Today, I slept until 2, rang for a cab, went round to my girlfriend's, ate something, chatted, did stuff, came back at 5, slept, woke up, and now I'm just... on the computer.

Did a couple of loads of washing and some ironing.  Went to a meeting and got myself elected to a committee position that I didn't really want ::)  I should learn how to say "no".  Went to lunch with some friends.  Came home, tidied house.  Took dog for a walk.  Picked up son from school.  Had afternoon tea with mother-in-law.  Cooked dinner for family (spaghetti bolognese).  Went out for dinner with four girlfriends to celebrate friend's birthday (Indian Restaurant) YUM.  Just got home and am now here!!  :)

Spent most of today writing my job profile for a new evaluation process.  The deadline is today.

I knew back in October vaguely when I would have to do it, at least a month ago exactly when I would have to do it and I did make a small start a while ago but left it to the last minute as usual.  I wouldn't mind but I'm one of the trained assessors so it should have been a breeze!

Now i'm going to sort out some other stuff I've been putting off.  One day I'll get round to replying to the procrastination thread  ;)

Yes - most of my days seem to be full - and people say to me "are you going to get a job now that all the kids are at school?".  I don't have the time :) :o  I do quite a bit of volunteer work.

I went to lunch today with friends - funny thing was it was the same coffee shop that I went to yesterday ;D  I got to try something different on the menu.

Thanks, jaytee.  My flu seems to have turned into a head cold now with congestion and stuffed up ears.  I really hate how it seems to take forever to get over this stuff.  :(

Got the mast up today but the boom still isn't up. The centerboard doesn't want to come down so that needs to be taken care of (hopefully that will be done tomorrow) and then we are on our way.  ;D

I picked up my son Brian (Youngest of 6) from the bus depot today and now we're getting ready for game 4 of the NBA Finals!

Me and 2 of my brothers just knocked out a good 800 miles today. I am at a lounge in a Comfort Inn in Rock Springs, Wyoming en route to Yellowstone National Park, and we should be there tomorrow afternoon sometime. Me and my younger brother are both former long-distance truckers, plus we were driving my Grand Marquis (which is an AWESOME road trip car) so it was no sweat. We're doing the family reunion thing, so it ought to be a lot of fun.  :)

Today I learned how to play croquet! Yesterday my parents were talking about croquet and how they used to play it when they were younger. So yesterday they went to Sport Chalet and bought a croquet set, and today they showed me how to play; it was fun! :)

I've been at work as usual today.  I'm just about to go home and cook dinner then its bath night for the kids I think.

The old dreaded LAUNDRY. Then I have an appointment to get my hair done (YAY). I am so frustrated with it now I am almost to the point where I want to cut it ALL off. But, I'm sure I won't feel that way this afternoon when I get home.  :)

Woke up early and finally wrapped up resurfacing my parents driveway by 11.....went to our shop today and continued to get ready for the Grand Opening on Monday! I enjoyed watching the Pistons win the NBA Championship tonight AND I actually had NO dizzy spells for a welcome change :)

Woke up three hours ago, called for taxi, they were annoyed. Tripped to see my girlfriend, she went to sleep. Came home. All before half five in the morning. Back home now. No more time to do anything.. :(

my friend and i went on a massive bike ride to a deli to get ice cream.  on the way back, it started raining so we stopped at another friend's house and then i came home.

still haven't started the homework. :-X

I went to the shop today....we opened but have yet to get the phone hooked up so I left the computer at home. Spent the day putting the finishing touches on some things.....now I'm home (Obviously) and I haven't been dizzy at ALL so far :)

Well, some time today between 12:30 and 2:30 (Pacific time), we're supposed to get a new washer and dryer delivered. The old ones we've had for eight years; the other night we were washing some clothes, but the dryer wasn't giving off any heat, so...it's time for a new one.

Well,I was gonna call up one of these girls from My Friendship Network. Either Robin Brody or Eve Diamond.to set up for a meeting place. I'm so nervous.I have to make a #2. :( ;D

Today I took my kittens, Kyra and Jordan to the vets office to get them started on their vaccinations! They are very ,mad at me right now, but that'll be over as soon as they want to eat!

They both have a clean bill of health, Kyra has allergies, which she has stuff for, and Jordan is a healthy little brat! ;D

They got their first set of shots and I go back in about a month to get the second set of boosters for them. Man, they are gonna just love me when all is said and done!!!!!! Oh well! They need it to be healthy little girls!

Well, I will keep everyone posted on how the next doctors visit goes!

Oh yeah, and the vet cut their nails for me! Yay!!!!! No more scratches for now!!!

Our church was involved in a Bikers for Christ ride for the rescue mission.  After that there was a picnic and a Don Francisco concert in the park.  I only went to the picnic and concert (motorcycles scare me)  It was quite fun.

Well it rained all morning so no basketball this week. I met with a lady who will be displaying her paintings at our shop. Now I just got home :)

Just got back from Yellowstone National Park. We had a really good time. It was great to get the whole family together again. Plus my car performed flawlessly (which means I'll probably keep it for a while longer).
      If any of you should ever get the opportunity to visit this great national treasure, I wholeheartedly encourage you to do so. We didn't have enough time to really get out and explore the park--it was mainly a driving tour, but the loop around the park is very scenic and takes you to the main points of interest. The geysers were really neat and we saw quite a few elk and buffalo from the road. Also, the Old Faithful Inn is a must-see.

Cat, you need to get to Arches.  It is absolutely beautiful.  If you do go, you need to do the Delicate Arch hike.  It is a little tough, but beautiful.  Also, if you do go to Arches, go down the road to Canyonlands.  Moab is a great area for outdoors stuff.

I'm jealous! The hospital won't let their employees wear artificial nails anymore and I sure miss not having my nails done every other week. They always look so nice. I don't even paint my nails anymore, the polish just comes off when you are washing your hand almost constantly for 12 hours straight!!

Cleaning the house and going to my niece 2nd Birthday party this afternoon.

Slept in.  The whole family went to see Shrek 2 (everyone enjoyed it).  Took the kids to Maccas for lunch.  Did the ironing and watched the DVD of Love Actually.  Went to the Youth Rock Mass which was very enjoyable and had dinner (sausage sizzle) at church.

Enjoying a day of doing nothing today. The kids are with their dad today so we are just going to watch tv. It's back to work tomorrow for both of us!

My Dad has been gone since 1993, so no Father's Day events.  :\'(

So I spent the morning stripping and repainting some black trim on my '91 Saturn Coupe.  Also wet-sanded then re-clear-coated the mirror housings on the car too.  :)  Car is starting to look pretty good for a 13-year-old car.

I live in an apartment, so my shower stall also serves as my paint booth.   :P

This morning we went to church; this afternoon/evening we are taking my dad out for Father's Day dinner at a restaurant near the Ventura harbor. :)

I went to church.  I serve in the toddler room during second and third service but we didn't have a single child either one.  It was rather odd.  Oh well, I left early since I had already been there 4 hours.  My helpers went to other classes.  I hope it isn't like that next week.  I missed my kids.

Pretty good, wasn't it! I must admit I didn't see it all.. I was too busy eating.

It is the arm that steers the boat. Some boats have steering wheels but others (like ours) has a tiller. I was looking for a good pic of one and this is the only one I could find-not a good one, but I think you get the gist.

We just got back from our first sail of the season and we are tired. Yesterday was a nice sail. We got in some fishing and had VERY fresh fish for dinner. We were awaken at quarter to 5 this morning by a stupid bird who decided to become our alarm clock. DC's son said that he got rid of it-GOOD! Today we were sailing into the wind (had to tack) until we decided that we wanted to get home today and cranked up the engine. Of course then it started to rain and rain and rain. Cold rain at that-yuck. Oh well. That's how it goes. So now I still haven't gotten my land legs back and this computer seems like it is moving. We may go out again this weekend (just DC and myself  ;))

England are through to the knockout stages!!!!! We beat Croatia 4-2. I think we are against Portugal in the quarter finals. It should be a brilliant match. I can't get over Italy getting eliminated tonight despite beating Bulgaria - what a tournament this has become!  :o

Busy day. Typical Wednesday morning but I do have a meeting in about 10 minutes. I really don't want to go. I really want to go to sleep because I am SOOOOO tired. Hopefully the meeting won't last too long and then I can take a nap.

I was SUPPOSED to have my first obstetrician's appointment today. When I got there, they told me that I couldn't be seen by the doc because I didn't have my Medi-Cal card yet nor did I have a temporary one. Now let me explain this: When I first went in to the social services to apply for Medi-Cal, I asked about a Presumptive Eligibility card and was told I didn't need one. When I took back the rest of my paperwork to the SAME office, I asked about a temporary card and was told that I didn't need one of those either, that I just needed to tell the doctor's that I had applied and give my case number. Obviously they were wrong.

So thanks to the wonderful (and snotty) workers at the social services, I got screwed out of my doctor's appointment and I now have to wait probably another month before I see a doctor. Thank you, government offices. ::)

I skipped working out this morning as I have to go mow the lawn this afternoon.  We have a 1/2 acre lot and I skip the riding mower and push it by hand so I get a workout AND a tan ;)
That sounds like a great idea but be sure to wear sunscreen ;)

I've just been watching the kids and watching the computer screen...LOL.  :)

Tonight I've got a 'meet the new teacher' meeting at school.  My daughter moves up to year 1 in September and so we're going to find out more about it tonight.  It will be interesting to find out how they've rearranged the current classes.  I know that my daughter will not be with some people from her current group because they distract each other and talk too much together!

Like a few people, I am doing laundry today-YUCK!  Would someone please answer this question for me? Why is it when I do laundry once a week, with the two of us, I only have to do one load. But, if I miss a week (for whatever reason), I end up doing THREE loads? It would seem that if it was truly a load a week, then the second week I would have to do two-not three. I am still trying to figure that out.

We have a BIG washer-at my insistance. We did have a tiny one and it took me about 3 or 4 loads a weeks. I was VERY happy when that washer died!

Most of the pieces are those that were done by my student.  I have only a few pots (bowls and a mug or two) and some glaze samples.  I couldn't fit everything into this firing, which means I will most likely being doing another one sometime soon.  :)

I took my oldest to a job interview (He got the job!!! :))and ran out to the bank. Now I'm watching tv waiting on hubby to get home so we can get something to eat.

Tomorrow Carlos and I are off on another sailing trip. This time it will be just the two of us-the first one of the season.  ;D

::)  I slept late today, a huge night last night so they tell me. Had a bath, grabbed the bag of doritos a coffee and cigs. Turned the comp on and played crib at zone msn all day. I have just finished playing, and i made a new friend from Texas while playing.  So a satisfying day so far.  And i'm hungry.

Just got home from work. Really wish I didn't have to work last night :( Going to try to get a couple of hours of sleep before I head out to help a friends mother move, and then head out to my parents house for the rest of the day.

I watched TV, listened to music, visited my auntie whose birthday is today, played on my PS2, watched some films, read my magazines, leaflets and books, ate my meals, sorted my bedroom out, did my homework for college and filled in an Elle Girl magazine survey.

I had a HORRIBLE afternoon! Today started off just fine....I met my son Brian at the basketball court. The guys soon showed up and we played from 10am to noon. It was only after everyone had left (I stayed and ran a mile around the track) that I realized my keys were locked in my car! I had to walk 7 miles to my shop in Manitou Springs to get the spare and then me and Elizabeth walked back to the car....we were about 2 blocks away when the sky opened up and the rain poured down on us. We got to the car and the battery was DEAD! SO, I had to push it 4 blocks to a store where a couple guys gave me a jump start....Now I am at the shop and heading home soon to RELAX!

I soaked my feet in a nice small bucket of hot water with honey/almond bath oil....then I did what Dagney suggested....then I watched Television and had a few beers....thanks to Jessica and Dagny for the suggestions. I slept great! Now it's off to moms for a day of celebrating her 83rd birthday..I made her a CD of The Carpenters :)

Right now, we are watching it rain but later hubby and I are going to see Poison and KISS in concert!

Half past one in the morning, Wednesday.. I feel incredibly hung over from last night's massive Coca Cola induced sickness, and... well, the time it is right now should say it all, I think..

I talked on the phone almost all day!  I felt like I was 15 again :D  Then I dusted my house, did some laundry & packed a box of old clothes to take to Goodwill.

ARRGGHHH !!!!! I can't believe I did this.I *WAS* going to go homeat one to clean and tidy the house up for our agency inspection tomorrow but when I left the house this morning,right at that moment that the door closes shut I realised I'd left my keys inside so now I'm locked out until the other half gets home at 5.30.I'm hopeing it doesn't rain this afternoon so I can do some gardening otherwise I'm stuffed basically !
