Subject: A Billion reasons why not to watch "Pepsi's Play for a Billion"

Written By: RockandRollFan on 07/13/04 at 10:47 pm

A little background:

A billion specially marked bottles, 2 liters and 12 and 24 packs of Pepsi, Mountain Dew and Sierra Mist were distributed throughout the country starting early May through mid-August with different codes that consumers could enter on Pepsi's Web site.

One thousand of the codes matched with randomly drawn codes drawn by Pepsi officials.

Of the 1,000 contestants, 10 were randomly picked to be a part of the show that aired last night on WB (WB2 - Adelphia cable channel 22).

Well, the show aired, I watch bits and pieces of it.  All I can say is... good thing I had a barf bag from one of my recent airplane trips.
The show was terrible!!!!!!!!!!!! http://www.newsblab.com/OnTheCan.gif Oh, and nobody won the billion $$$.  Big surprise...and now there is yet another reason to like Coke better.

Yes, the Pepsi company is cheap, rich, and greedy, but do you really think coke would have done it any diferently? These are planned out so that there is about a 0.000000000000000000000000000000001% chance of anyone winning it.  :\'(

I know but I'm STILL loving the time in the 90's when pepsi ended up having to pay off a kid who "Won" an actual Air Force Jet!

Notice it didn't hurt Pepsi's sales or profits.  ;)

For soft drink poll I'd go with them in this order...

1. RC
2. Pepsi
3. Coke

:) ;D
