Of course, Gabble (influenced from the 'Gilbert Ratchet' strip?). It's one of my favourite adult comics! Postman Plod, Mr Logic and Terry F**kwitt are my favourite strips.

Of course, Letterbocks always made me laugh so hard.  ;D

Well I did try to educate the good people on this board with my 'Viz' style humour when last I was here. I'm sure they thought I was quite mad!!!

Viz is not just a very English magazine, it is also very colloquial. I reckon it would be very difficult for anyone outside the country to understand it (imagine someone trying to read the regional dialect of Sid the Sexist LOL!)! It's a shame really because it gives people outside of England a very good idea of English attitudes.

I could not have put it better myself Bobby. I think some tried to understand it. One comment I received was 'are you that English comic, Edie Izzard'!!

Izzard gets himself across in America because he portrays a side of England that is palatable to people outside of Britain. If only he'd cut down on the rambling. I know it's his style but sometimes it gets in the way of the comedy.  :)

I thought it was a gimmick at first to get himself noticed (like Julian Clary) but he likes to dress up in a feminine way. Of course, he tones it down a little for his stand-up shows.
