If I go to the pub I generally stick to drinking Bitter, I like most of them unless they're too heavy.

I will also drink German white beers such as HoeGaarden.

I rarely drink shorts or cocktails now but used to like Martini and lemonade or a vodka and orange.  I was once famous in my friends for drinking a local security guard under the table drink for drink on vodka and orange!  I lost count after the 13th.  He gave up and I was still able to walk home.  Wouldn't do this nowadays - hangovers and young children do not mix!

My other half and I have also discovered the joys of cocktails ! We have become experts at Daquari's and have invented a strawberry and blueberry one which is divine.
Other than that I drink white wine and beer as in English bitter(Not mixed together I hasten to add !)

By and large, I'll stick to the bitters and ales - two favourites being Old Speckled Hen (Oxford region) and Mask (Wokingham region)...sadly, I don't come across them that often, but when I do...!!

If it's got to involve a spirit, Brandy and Coke will do fine...

It is a malt beverage that has a lemon/lime flavor to it. I just discovered that it now comes in orange and black cherry too (but haven't tried those yet)

I hope so! I had them at a club in Georgia as I college student down there. They really tasted like slices of key lime pie. The one thing is that you need to remember you are drinking shots b/c the sweetness of it will keep you on the floor!

Unfortunately, I got a little too p*ssed that I'd forgotten half the evening, and Rush had to explain to me this morning why I was still wearing the same clothes, including my shoes!  :o I was totally embarrassed...

I'm not a great drinker but I don't mind lager (usually Foster's something like that) and I do like Bailey's as well.

I see a few people mentioned B-52s. I used to be known as the "B-52 Queen" a long time ago. We used to have our "bomb runs". Man, had many a hangover from them.  :D

i stay away from hard alcohol, the bender i had where i drank a 26oz of CC and half a bottle of vodka, i ended up in the drunk tank...not fun waking up to a stainless steel toliet beside your head.

Ooooh, I forgot about those.  A bar I used to go to would put sugar on the rim of the shotglass, none of the places I've had them at since do that.  Made them even yummier!!!


The Mucky Duck in Monterey puts sugar on the rim. It added to the whole thing of making it taste like an actual lemon drop.

Well I tried this drink last night and it is indeed delicious!  It's apparently got a different name in my neck of the woods, and also it has a drop of grenadine in it.  Good stuff!  :D

Favorite beer has to be MGD.  There are lots of mixed drinks, but theres nothing quite like a Jack and Coke.

Long Island Iced Tea

Has 5 to 7 shots in it depending on who makes it.  Costs about $5.  You can't buy 5 shots for that.  More bang for the buck!

Let's see... being 20 I should be an expert in this area. But I'm not.

I do like a good beer though (Guinness does it nicely, but the price is not low enough for me to buy it regularly) - can't stand the watered down stuff.

Not big into wine though. Maybe it's a Kiwi-male thing.  ;D
