Me & My mate John think that the gunman was lucky to have been shot by that cop.. if he hadn't the crowd would have killed him in a much worse way, which is unfortunate because he deserved it

I read about this. I am not familar with the band (don't get into heavy metal) but it truly is very tragic.

I never really heard any Pantera until Darrell died, but his death really hit me hard when I heard (on December 9) that he had died the day before.
I think rock concert security should be a bit more tight, because I don't want anyone going up to, say, Richie Blackmore or Britney Spears, Vanilla Ice (anyone, really) and doing the exact same thing. It's bad enough we lost Janet Leigh and Rodney.
Getting to hear Pantera and Damage Plan songs from radio, Music Choice TV, and MTV2's Headbanger's Ball, Dimebag Darrell was radical on the guitar without going into EVH shredding territory.
