I just wanted to say that we are glad that you rejoined, Lauren. The discomfort is understandable (and believe me, of all the people that could have made you feel uncomfortable on this board, it still surprises me very much that it was Rhodes and Vile). If I was new and recieved a start like this, I would feel very nervous at the prospect of coming back too.

However, you are here to make a fresh new start, to make friends with an incredible amount of really wonderful people and have a good laugh. The pros far outweigh the cons and we are here to make you feel at home and not an outcast.

OK.... I think we need to get a few things straight here!

We didn't leave because of this whole Lauren69 incident, as much as she seems to want the attention. That was just a very small part of things.  The whole idea of leaving was something on many people's minds before that even happened. And as far as the whole incident went, can't you just let it go? (Oh wait, you can't let things go can you!) If you didn't keep ramming it down people's throats all the time, maybe you could have got that apology.  ::) By the way if you really think that was bad, maybe you should consider that a lot worse things have happened on this board and people have called others much more horrific things than that, and are they still here!!!! YES!

I always thought that people forgave others for mistakes but obviously that's not true here.  They know they made a mistake but you won't forgive. These people that left have been here for quite some time and people here just want to throw that time away.  If you made a mistake would you like it to just be forgiven and forgotten, and not reminded of it everywhere you go?

Do you see everyone on here posting them?  If things are that bad, get help!!!!  For instance, I have high blood pressure, a possible thyroid problem, a bad back for the past three months, I suffer from depression, I live 6000 miles away from my family and have had 5 deaths in my family in the past year, some of these people I haven't seen in at least 4 years.  but have you heard that before...?? No! Because I never brought it on to the board.  If these things became too much of a problem, I would go and see someone about it! Not post it on here!!!!

If you really want to talk about this kind of stuff to someone here then e-mail, pm, or message in chat. There is no need to bring it out for everyone to read!  Some people just don't want to hear it!

Anyway hopefully this will resolve this whole issue and you can understand the real reason we have left!

Anyway hopefully this will resolve this whole issue and you can understand the real reason we have left!

I've had LOTS of support here from people that DON"T mind replying and that care. The ones that don't want to read certain things don't HAVE to ;) I'm sorry if I "annoyed" you with my whining but a big part of this board is people caring about each other. I'm sorry to see you guys go and I actually mean that :-\\

this is an internet community and like all community's we make friends and friend's help each other out. some of us like to share our pain, a friend shouldn't judge them on that. i'm on several other forums and all of them have there have their share of topics that deal with someone reaching out or lashing out. i feel like i'm entering someone else's life when i hear of their pain. since 99.9% of us here would never meet each other, sharing our difficulties with people we grew to care for is like being there face to face.

i don't think i ever seen a site were everybody was upbeat and happy, if i did i would run quickly out of there, perpetually happy people scare me...

OK.... I think we need to get a few things straight here!

We didn't leave because of this whole Lauren69 incident, as much as she seems to want the attention. That was just a very small part of things.  The whole idea of leaving was something on many people's minds before that even happened. And as far as the whole incident went, can't you just let it go? (Oh wait, you can't let things go can you!) If you didn't keep ramming it down people's throats all the time, maybe you could have got that apology.  ::) By the way if you really think that was bad, maybe you should consider that a lot worse things have happened on this board and people have called others much more horrific things than that, and are they still here!!!! YES!


It is good to know you all didn't leave because of this incident, Rush. Vile and Rhodes gave Lauren the undue attention, she didn't give it to herself. However, all Lauren was asking for was a due apology. She recieved one from Rhodes and everything was fine with her. I don't believe she recieved one from Vile and that is Vile's perogative.

Rhodes and Vile have as much right to be here regardless of what they have done. It is their own choice to leave at the end of the day.

I always thought that people forgave others for mistakes but obviously that's not true here.  They know they made a mistake but you won't forgive. These people that left have been here for quite some time and people here just want to throw that time away.  If you made a mistake would you like it to just be forgiven and forgotten, and not reminded of it everywhere you go?

Acknowledgement of a mistake is part of the forgiving and forgetting process. If Vile knows she made a mistake, why doesn't she apologise? That done, the whole thing can be completely forgotten about.  :)

Anyway, I personally haven't posted on the board much in a long time.  This board has become too depressing and that is why I decided to leave and sure it was the same for the others too. 

I always thought of coming on to this board to get away from life and have some fun.  But some people just want to drag it down with their repetitive "woe is me" type posts.  Come on....We all have problems. Do you see everyone on here posting them?  If things are that bad, get help!!!!  For instance, I have high blood pressure, a possible thyroid problem, a bad back for the past three months, I suffer from depression, I live 6000 miles away from my family and have had 5 deaths in my family in the past year, some of these people I haven't seen in at least 4 years.  but have you heard that before...?? No! Because I never brought it on to the board.  If these things became too much of a problem, I would go and see someone about it! Not post it on here!!!!

I am very sorry to hear you have gone through personal/physical difficulties, Rush. It is very commendable that you have retained a positive attitude on the boards despite all this going on. That takes guts.

You still seem to misunderstand me,  If you want to tell your problems, that's up to you, If you want to put these problems into every topic, whether it's relevant or not, that's another!

I agree.  This place is turning very different with all the old people leaving and new people coming in.  At least RnRF, Dagwood, Howard, Nally, MaxwellSmart, Don Carlos, Catwoman, Apricot, Sputnikcorp and any others I left out (sorry to you) are still here.  But Absolutely Vile, Rush, Rio_Rhodes, Harmonica, and a few others who I apologize not to name are gone.

Have you been on the political forum? That kind of stuff happens all the time...and the attackers are still around. This even happened before the political stuff was segregated into its own board.

Yes, I apologised to Lauren about the comment, I knew I made a mistake and wanted to redeem myself. BUT, even after I apologised, the subject was still brought up over and over and over again, by, well, you.

Everyone who has posted here on the last couple of pages talks about letting it go, but you can't seem to.I'm sorry, thats what I am seeing.I may be wrong, but I seriously doubt it.

Our leaving this board was something talked about for a very long time, this place has become very depressing, as Rush said, and some people certainly don't help matters much. The harmless, (yes harmless!!) joke and its reprocussions was just the icing on the cake in our decision to actually go.

I really don't want to be in a place where I am viewed as cruel for one thing that was said. Believe me, it was a big decision to actually delete the account I have had here for almost 2 years. But thinking about it now, I am glad I did. It seems that all of the good times I have had here and all of the other things I have talked about are now wasted and overshadowed by some stupid joke I made while I was having nicotene withdrawls. Thats not a very good excuse, but it is my excuse, take it or leave it.

After this matter is closed, I will be deleting my account again, this time, for good.

Especially when there have been people who have said cruel things numerous times, and complaints about them have fallen upon deaf ears. I felt that would've brought on even more curiosity by others. As for my going off topic?
