Where we have been for the past week, let me up-date you. First of all, most of you know that we are in the middle of "home improvement" which part of that includes moving the office upstairs. We moved the computer up on Tuesday and when we tried to get on-line it just didn't happen. I called Dell and after 2 hours of talking to some woman who was probably in India who had no idea what she was doing, I finally gave up on that route. I called our ISP and they couldn't seem to help either. Then, I called in the "big guns" otherwise known as my brother who knows just about everything about computers. It just so happened my niece (who lives here in town) was going to his place for a visit and took our computer with her for him to check it out. Well, we finally got our computer back-YAY!!! And as you can see, we are now back on-line. BUT, not without it's problems. Well, my brother added lots of goodies (games, programs, etc) but we are still having problems getting our mailbox opened and our AOL IM up. So, we have to figure out what that is all about (probably another phone call to my brother).

In the meanwhile, the office is just about all set up upstairs (where I am now). There are still some things left to do-like bring up the book shelf so we can get our books off the floor.  :o But, things are coming together. We still have a lot of work to do but hopefully, we can rest for a bit before starting the next step.

Dont you hate it when what should be a simple act of moving a computer to another room turns into one enormous debarcle !!!!  Good to know you have a handy "Big Gun" - I have one too - my uncle - but he is on the other side of the country so he is only useful for 'over the phone help' !!!

What did you miss hmmmmm I only log on on weekends so I generally feel like I have to catch up on everything. I missed a tacky porn spammer apparently - gladly.

Hmmm...moving the office upstairs...that sounds like what we were doing in June of 2003. See, when we first moved into our new house 4 years ago, we originally set up the "office" in the loft and used one of our upstairs bedrooms as a "library"; that is, where we set all the books (we must have over a thousand of those now). In June of '03, we decided to move the office into the "library", so we spent a weekend moving the computer, desk, and everything into the bedroom (next to my bedroom), and we emptied out the bookcases and moved them into the loft, so we could set up a place to relax there. :) So for the past 20 months, it's been working out really well.

That guy was rude! I went away for a couple of days(Bahamas, it was okay) and came back to what seemed
a whole new board.  I am back at work and can't hang out here as much as I used to.  Did miss you and
DC, welcome back. :)

Thanks everyone. I'm still not too sure what my brother did to our computer. I know he meant well and giving us the "best" programs but I still haven't figured everything out and  still trying to work out the kinks. Carlos is a bit upset because he doesn't like some of the changes. I warned him before giving the computer to my brother that he was going to do that. He said it he was fine with it because he knows that my brother wouldn't do anything that is "harmful" to the computer. Personally, I think it is just a matter of getting used to the changes.
