I'm trying to figure out whether this is a joke or not. The mother's basement thing makes me suspicious..;)

I work at a pawn shop where we sell old gaming systems action fig music and such

...I get those people in the store all the time

I just think its humorous to see a 30 year old man spend 170.00+ on D&D trading cards.....

and get all into a game....role playing and all...

I used to sell Magic the Gathering cards, I was never asked for D&D cards, the people who played that game played it the traditional way without cards

people pay over $1000 for their tournament Magic the Gathering Decks, there are the 5 mox cards and the black lotus cards that were standard in all tournament decks and these cards cost about $200 each and that was only 6 cards  :o

i never liked magic. wizards of the coast bought out TSR, the original company that made D&D and they mucked around the rules to appeal to a younger audience. it's a huge bone of contention amongst us older gamers.

a buddy of mine played magic, he had four black lotus cards but he sold those years ago, before there was a demand. magic makes a good drinking game, i'll give it that.. ;D

The big dollar cards all fell in price because all the tournament restricted and baned card rules, with out these rules players would have four of each mox and four black lotus cards eliminating the need to carry and land cards at all, magic even randomly inserts foil cards like Pokemon, there is no reason what so ever to have a foil card in magic other them making it a rare collectible

I did D&D and Warhammer for a very short time. I came third in a D&D competition in Staffordshire.
