I searched "candy" and only found a similar thread from long ago "Who Makes The Best Candy In The World" with answers like Hersheys, Nestle, etc... but I don't know who makes most of the candy, I just know them by name... and its surprising that unlike many things from previous decades, most of the candy I can remember eating can still be found... Here are some of my favorites:

1. Bottle Caps

4. Swedish Fish
5. Laffy Taffy
6. Pixy Stix
7. Neccos
8. Sweetarts
9. Spree
10. Now & Later
11. Krackel
12. Red Licorice
13. Fun Dip

15. Dots (the ones that were stuck to a piece of paper)
16. Candy Cigarettes  (not the chocolate ones, the white ones with the red tip)

There was one more, I don't remember what they were called but they came in a container shaped like a garbage can and had candies shaped like bones, and other garbage inside.  Similar in flavor to bottle caps.

Mostly chocolate like:

Baby Ruth
Snickers
M&M's
Twix

Also..Skittles, bottle caps, those wax bottles with the juice inside, Cadbarry eggs.

Fun Dip, Pixie Stix and Candy Corns.

Oh yes..Candy corns  :o

Sweet tarts when they were in the flat gold package 60s-70s, long pixie sticks, bubs daddy bubble gum in that long rope, all kinds of penny candy like Mary Janes, jawbreakers etc. Candy cigarettes that were gum and if you blew on the end, white powdery stuff came out. Way too many more to mention, those ones just came to me.  :)

Right.  That is the only conclusion I can come to.  My friends and I have had that conversation ourselves.

Some say Red Vines.  I think most people just say licorice.

Most of the candies I grew to like as a kid, I still do (although, I totally hated nuts when I was younger. I've grown to like/tolerate them sometimes now). Milky Way, Skor and a pack of about 40 little wafer-type candies called Necco's, I always get. :)

It's so expensive there, so I usually sneak it in -- and I work in retail myself. What an example I set, hehe.

However, I admit, movie theatre popcorn can't be beat! Microwave is cool, but it's nothing in comparison!
I would sneak in cans of Coke as well.Cheers!
