who the F is alice is a song   :D

Sally called when she got the word,
She said: "I suppose you've heard -
About Alice".
Well I rushed to the window,
And I looked outside,
But I could hardly believe my eyes -
As a big limousine rolled up
Into Alice's drive...

Oh, I don't know why she's leaving,
Or where she's gonna go,
I guess she's got her reasons,
But I just don't want to know,
'Cos for twenty-four years
I've been living next door to Alice.
Alice, who the fudge is Alice

Twenty-four years just waiting for a chance,
To tell her how I'm feeling, maybe get a second glance,
Now I've got to get used to not living next door to Alice...
Alice, who the fudge is Alice

Grew up together,
Two kids in the park,
Carved our initials,
Deep in the bark,
Me and Alice.
Now she walks through the door,
With her head held high,
Just for a moment, I caught her eye,
As a big limousine pulled slowly
Out of Alice's drive.

Oh, I don't know why she's leaving,
Or where she's gonna go,
I guess she's got her reasons,
But I just don't want to know,
'Cos for twenty-four years
I've been living next door to Alice.
Alice, who the fudge is Alice

Twenty-four years just waiting for a chance,
To tell her how I'm feeling, maybe get a second glance,
Now I gotta get used to not living next door to Alice...
Alice, who the fudge is Alice

Sally called back, asked how I felt,
She said: "I know how to help -
Get over Alice".
She said: "Now Alice is gone,
But I'm still here,
You know I've been waiting
For twenty-four years..."
And the big limousine disappeared...

I don't know why she's leaving,
Or where she's gonna go,
I guess she's got her reasons,
But I just don't want to know,
'Cos for twenty-four years
I've been living next door to Alice.
Alice, who the fudge is Alice

Twenty-four years just waiting for a chance,
To tell her how I feel, and maybe get a second glance,
But I'll never get used to not living next door to Alice...
Alice, who the fudge is Alice

Now I'll never get used to not living next door to Alice...

That's called "Living Next Door To Alice" and it's by the English band, Smokie.  :)

Ohhhhh.... the song from Jefferson Airplane!

One pill makes you larger
And one pill makes you small
And the ones that mother gives you
Don't do anything at all
Go ask Alice
When she's ten feet tall

And if you go chasing rabbits
And you know you're going to fall
Tell 'em a hookah smoking caterpillar
Has given you the call
Call Alice
When she was just small

When men on the chessboard
Get up and tell you where to go
And you've just had some kind of mushroom
And your mind is moving low
Go ask Alice
I think she'll know

When logic and proportion
Have fallen sloppy dead
And the White Knight is talking backwards
And the Red Queen's "off with her head!"
Remember what the dormouse said:
"Feed your head
Feed your head
Feed your head"

There is actually a high school in Vincennes, Indiana with the nickname Alices. Allegedly based on Hoosier native Booth Tarkington's novel, "Sweet Alice Adams".
Also, Alice Ghostley, the actress that played Aunt Esmerelda on "Bewitched" is one of the few actors from that show still living.

I was thinking the same thing. And for all you who DON'T know, this song is called "White Rabbit."

There was also a book called Go Ask Alice that was very popular in the 60s/70s and a movie by the same name. It is SUPPOSED to be a young girl's diary who died of an overdose  but it wasn't.  http://www.snopes.com/language/literary/askalice.asp

"Alice Blue Gown", This old song from  1919, by J. McCarthy and H. Tierney, was written for the Broadway musical "Irene".
