And of course, two years ago, we had 03/03/03 (if you write leading zeroes in the month and day as well)... "03" written 3 times in succession!! :D 8)

In Japan, 5-5 is also known as 'Boys Day'. And since we have such a large population of Japanese people here in Hawaii, that day is also recognized here. 8)
3-3 is 'Girls Day' :)

New years day 2001, was 01/01/01, this will of course continue until we have 12/12/12, then it won't happen till next century.

Everytime we get a thing like that {i.e. 4-4-04, 9-9-99, etc.}, that's our "Senior Skip Day"... Our class won't get one, as it would be 8-8-08... sucks.

But 4-4-04 was a Sunday, so it wouldn't have meant anything with regards to "Skip day"... ::)
I guess that applies to your school? ???
When I was a senior in HS (1997-98), our class had an unofficial "Skip day" on 3/13 (which was Friday the 13th) ;D, but I chose not to take part in that, since I felt that my attendance was important.
