I agree that losing your temper is worse.

But sometimes my giggles go too far sometimes that it has hindered my overall success including this rather disturbing story that happened to me---I had a client come up to me once, wearing winter clothes. I made a stupid mistake by not paying much attention so when I pulled up the client profile, it showed that the gender was female, and in my oblivious state I thought I was serving a male. I then asked who's card I had so the client replied, "It's my card." I looked carefully at the client again, and to my shocked noticed that the client was indeed a female with her hair pulled back under her hat. I started laughing out loud at my own stupidity, but apparently the client took it the wrong way and the following week or two, my boss had called me in, and told me that the client had served had contaced her lawyer!!! I can understand her calling my boss to complain, but contacting her lawyer! Don't you think that's being ridiculous!?

Do not know, but it does depend on how much you do laugh at one time?

Losing your temper.Though laughing could be worse for you if it makes the customer completely loose it.

I voted losing your temper. Laughing is much more relieving.
