Subject: The 'Alternate Reality' game.

Written By: Marty McFly on 05/24/05 at 7:04 am

In BTTF 1, when Marty was in the 50's, him teaching George to stand up for himself resulted in a much better 1985 at the end of the movie. In Part 2, Old Biff (from the improved 2015) created a far worse alternate 1985 by giving himself the almanac in 1955 - making himself corrupt and evil.

From the real world, let's think of single things (either in people's lives or world events) that could be altered in the past, how would the "Alternate 2005" be different?

Example:
If MJ never came out with Thriller in 1983: We'd still be watching "performance-type" low buget videos from 50 Cent in the "new" 2005 (might not be a bad idea, LOL). ;D

Now, you guys come up with some. ;)

If Bill Gates wasn't a brainy whiz kid, we would not be talking on the message boards.

we would not even know what we were missing.

Good point! And since I spend so much time online, I pity that 2005's version of me! ;D

Even though it's only been around and popular for about 8 years, I almost totally forget what pre-Internet life is like sometimes - proof that is really is a sort of "necessity" in modern life - same way the phone was in, say 1920.

You know, he initially turned down the offer to produce the hardware/computers.  IBM also refused, so Gates and his cronies were approached again, and accepted the second time.
