The good news I am back up and running now, my computer has been made afresh with new bits and held together and chewing gum, hopefully normal service will be resumed.

The chewing gum is being used as an adhesive to keep the casing for the hard-drive together.

"Windows Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."
