Subject: Have you ever experienced anything unusual or paranormal?

Written By: MidKnightDarkness on 06/09/05 at 8:37 pm

Well...I wasn't at this camp site, but Erin was. I'm not sure if she has the pictures, so I'll post them.
A guy that they were with was taking pictures of the fire with his camera phone. Do you see anything odd about them? Has anyone else experienced things that are strange? I'd like to hear peoples stories....

I've seen two ghosts.. one of a man in a suit.. he was translucent.

Then I saw my dead great-grandmother... she was completely opaque.. it was exactly like a real person.. she wouldn't look at me, and she vanished in the blink of an eye, but I saw her.. it was only a bit eerie..

Woah, that's really creepy. I always wanted to see something like that, as long as I was with someone.

I was with 4 other people.. trust me, you DO NOT want this to happen. It is NOT a pleasant or enjoyable experience in any way.

That's crazy. The only thing weird that has ever happened to me was, one night I slept down on the couch...I was woken up by a hard slap on the face. I didn't wanna open my eyes....I just sat there for a while, and when I finally opened them, there was nothing there. I had a huge hand print on my face, it was placed in a way, that I couldn't have possibly done it.

Oh man one time when I was in elementary school, during recess, my friends and I snuck into the cemetery, and its really wooded around this area, and we saw these things just circling the treese!  It was so weird!  They were people tho!  These things were actually like in the air. Not high in the air, but like just floating a bit over the ground.  It was so weird!

I've had clairvoyant dreams as well. Images and Conversations will come to me in dreams, and then I'll find I'll see that thing or hear that conversation later that day.

Yes I have seen a ghost and heard another. I have posted the full story before somewhere, basically I was at a friends big old house and I heard someone walking on the landing above the kitchen where I was. I thought it was my friend's brother so I stuck my head out of the kitchen door to ask if they wanted a drink. All the time the footsteps were coming down the stairs in front of me but there was noone there ! They passed right by me and on down the corridor, it was very creepy.

One time me and my mam went on a ghost hunt sort of thing from 9pm until 6am, where we went around different parts of the castle for an hour or so then changed over.
Anyway, we were with the group doing a vigil in the great hall, and me being me, I had to explore so I went into this little offset chamber which was called the king's chamber. Went in with nothing more than a torch and sat on a bench in the corner.
All I can remember was there was this huge build up for about 5 minutes... and then I was touched on the top of my head! I sh*t myself and ran back out! Not nice at 1am, I can tell you...
...A little later on I went back in to the chamber with one of the psychics and he contacted a ghost called Sarah, who said that she knew who had touched me and said it was an unpleasant male who she is scared of. THAT freaked me out even more, so I went back into the great hall and stayed there beside my mam!  ;D

Well, as Beth originally posted....I was there at that campfire...and none of us saw those "images"...but after the guy who happened to snap pictures of the fire with his picture phone passed around the camera...we couldn't believe what we were seeing...it was really strange.

ALSO...

the house that we just moved from, I used to wake up in the morning with handprints all over my arm...and nobody in the house did it (my husband slept on the other side of me, and Vaughn was in his room). The prints were on my right arm and they were placed on my arm in a position to where I could not have done it myself...oh, and there were 2 different size handprints (one was a childs and one looked like a womans).  Creepy!!!

It is proably just shadows in the smoke that your brain is 'recognising' as something (such as a face).  This happens because the brain is trained to look for patterns in things.

no, it definitely wasn't shadows in the smoke Karen...I was there that night...and to see them on his camera, they were more clear than the pictures posted online here. There were three different distinctive faces...very large faces, infact...it was really creepy.

I haven't "seen" ghosts per say but I have felt presences many, many times. I can usually feel them when no one else can. I was at a friend's house a couple of weeks ago (the first time I had been there) and I asked him if he ever felt "something". He said no but he has said that other people had-like me. He was kind of worried when I told him that I did feel something but I told him it was benign and not to worry. I feel that a lot-people who love their homes so much that they don't want to leave. I wouldn't call them "hauntings", but they do leave an impression that not too many people can feel. The funny thing is, the only presence I have felt in this house was Carlos' mother-and he didn't feel her.  :-\\

My friend Ashley lived in what is essentially a mansion. It was out in the country.. (I've told this story before)

Anywho i was sleeping in one of the guest rooms and i woke up real fast like and saw some woman sitting at the bottom of the bed. She smiled and i went back to sleep. Totally calm.. wasn't scary or anything. Comforting presence.

Anyway i think a bunch of people died there because it was such an old house. They knew at least 4-5 people had died there, probably more.

After one of my dogs died i could hear her barking, my mom claimed to see her as well.

It was just sitting on the table in front of me and my daughters, and it didn't ring, it just made the sound the phone makes when you push each button to call someone, and we all looked at each other and when I picked up the phone the numbers 666 were on it.  :o  Spooky!

The only wierd thing that happened to me was a few years ago. I just had this need to phone my dad and ask how everybody was in Wolverhampton, England. I had a really strong feeling something was not right. I phoned him up and he said my grandad was in hospital - he died a week later.

I was grieving badly the first night I knew but for the upcoming weeks prior to this, I knew for some strange reason that I had to let him go so it didn't hurt me as bad.

What was also strange was that, just after my sister's wedding in 2000, my mother was making me hurry up to catch the train from Wolverhampton back to Plymouth again and I had this compulsive need to go back to my uncle and my grandad's house where I hugged them and told them how much I loved them before I left. It was as if I knew this was my last goodbye to him. If I followed my mother's advice, I would have never had that opportunity.  :)

I guess that kind of connection can't be explained.  :)

When I was about 19 I worked the overnight shift at a local trainstation that had been converted into a restaurant.  Rumor had it a little boy who lived there with his parents died crossing the tracks while going to school.

It was about midnight and the only people in the restaurant were me, the cook and the asst manager who was asleep upstairs in the apartment.  I was by the register and saw a little boy run from behind a plant to the conference room in back.  I followed wondering who he was and there was no one there.  It really creeped me out, I made the cook go look for him.

The apartment upstairs had no power to it, either.  The asst manager that stayed up there needed me to wake him up in the mornings...I hated going up the dark stairs.  It was a creepy dang place.  To this day I have a hard time driving by it, creepy building, too.

For an English project for school, i'm investigating the ghost that is rumoured to haunt the briery where our sixth form is. For a laugh during one of our free periods, me and a friend went up to the attic. We were busy talking and I heard one of the floorboards outside the room we were in creak. The odd thing was that the floorboard would only creak if someone stepped on it, and we would have heard someone walk past because there are two double doors at either end of the corridor that you need to go through in order to get there, and we hadn't heard the doors go. We also tried some table tilting for a laugh, and surprise surprise the table moved but that was probs my mate messing about. But the attic does have a very unusual feel to it, and there are a number of stories about its hauntings. I have yet to discover if there is any truth in these tales...

A long time ago when I lived in Philidelphia, I was about 5 years old and I saw an outline of a man walk into the house and then he walked back out through the front door it was really strange but for some reason I wasn't scared. I suppose it was because I didn't know what it was at such a young age.  :-\\ Another time here in Florida about a year or two ago I saw a grey hand come out of the wall and I know it wasn't just me because my grandma saw it too. My brother once saw a shadow in the shape of a man walk through the hall which was really creepy and I couldn't go out there at night for a while. lol
