Subject: Misheard movie lines?

Written By: Marty McFly on 07/08/05 at 7:12 am

Not unlike in songs, I think it's easy to hear certain dialogue in movies incorrectly (many a time I'll be so embarrassed when I pair up what I thought the line was, to what they really said!).

Here's an example to get this thread rolling:

In Ernest Saves Christmas, right after he gives Santa a free ride and takes the cab back to the "office", his boss - an older, sort of grumpy guy - says:

"You're always pullin' this stuff, Ernest! Knockin' down our meters..."

It wasn't until a few years back, when I had the closed captioning on and saw the correct line. I always used to think he said, "Knockin' down tomatoes" (pronounced with an accent - "Tomat'as").

Of course, the real line makes far more sense! ;D

I've got plenty more, but let's hear some of yours first!
