Well, you can take some consolation on the fact that he lived almost 20 years after he was diagnosed with diabetes. (I hope to live at least that long.) Still, I am sorry about your loss. I pray that God will keep watching over you and your family at this time of need.    :\'(

P.S.: I'm still trying to cope with not having a mother after 6 years.

I'm very sorry to hear about your loss. Please accept my condolences.

Events like these once again make me aware that I'm very lucky to still have both my parents (in their 70s).

woops, I'm so sorry to hear about this sad news, my thoughts are with you.

You've posted that you're listening to certain songs right now. I don't mean to be trite but I believe music can help people in times of grief and remembrance.
At the two times in my life when close family members passed away, music played a part in my own grief and now certain songs still back memories, both happy and
sad, of those people no longer here.

It's difficult to explain but I hope you find some solace in the music you choose.

Sorry that this has happened.  When my father died it was quite sudden as well.  He had a broke his leg and they
kept him in hospital for a couple of days, the day he was supposed to come home he had an aneurism and died.
It is the worst, and it takes time.  It was when I understood the meaning of "one day at a time", but that it
what it takes. :\'(

Please accept my condolences.

I just lost my mother in April.  It's still very difficult for me.  There are times I forget she's gone.

People tell me it will get easier, I'm sure it will eventually.
