Water Pistol Man by Disposable Heroes of Hiphoprisy

Anything by Aussie comedian Kevin "Bloody" Wilson, if you want a good laugh- "Santa Claus" is probably his most famous song

My current fave is the album "Employment" by Kaiser Chiefs- lots of the songs have an 80s sound to them, great lyrical content on "Every day I love you less & less" & "Nanananana"

Feeling a bit mean and moody?

Propaganda's 'Duel' (1985 - single version) is a nice soundtrack for it...

;D  Kevin "Bloody" Wilson! I remember one night the neighbours were having a 'party' in their back garden, and they were playing his songs!  ;D ;D

I also would strongly recommend the Kaiser Chiefs, although 'I Predict A Riot' is the best song from the album imo

I love Crowded House! I like The Finn Bros., as well, but I can't find their albums as easily as I can find Crowded House. I like a couple of Split Enz songs, too. They were more New Wave/experimental before they traded it in for their current sound. One of the Top Ten Canadian songs on the pop charts the week I was born (May 21st 1982) was "Six Months In A Leaky Boat" by Split Enz, so I share a special affinity with them..  :D

I'm sorry Paul.. I knew by posting that - it would probably want to make some run for the hills. But, believe me, as my co-workers say "I'm a 90 year old woman inside a 23 year old body."  Not that I'm proud of that, but heck, I guess I gotta be labeled something...

Hey, no problems...

There's no chance in me running for the hills, I get out of breath running a bath!

Heh! What I wouldn't give for a 23 year old body, but I'd probably sail effortlessly into 'dirty old man' territory...!

Some good choices on that above list...with the exception of the last one, not because it's 'modern', but because it was so overplayed...
