So this is actually my 670th post, but I had been planning on this, but just forgot about it when I reached the number.

It has been brought to my attention that, according to recent studies, the actual number of the beast should read 616. I cannot confirm this however. :-\\

I don't know, really. I know it says 666 in the Bible, but apparently this is a faulty translation or transcription. And there doesn't seem to be a conclusive explanation for the number 666 either. So it may be 616 as well, for all we know.

It is supposed to be in Revelations.

It is indeed mentioned in the Book of Revelations, but just like Jeff I don't care much if it's 666 or 616 - it's just a number without any meaning to me. The number had a meaning however to the people who wrote the book.
