Subject: Ideal Concert Lineup

Written By: GoodRedShirt on 10/04/05 at 9:42 pm

Whjat would your ideal all-day music concert lineup consist of? And remember, this is entirely fantasy, so bands no longer around and deceased artists can be included.  8)

Here is a working example of what my ideal concert showcasing the best of 2005 would be like:

Main stage:
- Audioslave
- Shihad
- Kaiser Chiefs
- White Stripes
- Arcade Fire
- Queens of the Stone Age
- Foo Fighters
- New Order
- In Flames
- The Shins
- Metallica
- Modest Mouse
- Weezer
- Headline: THE ROLLING STONES

Small Stage:
- Beck
- Stereophonics
- New Pornographers
- The Mars Volta
- Architecture In Helsinki
- Ben Lee
- The Black Keys
- Bright Eyes
- The Raveonettes
- Franz Ferdinand
- Better Than Ezra
-      Momus
- Sam Roberts

I would like a two day concert... one with recent bands and one with older ones..

The recent: They Might be Giants, Beck, Flaming Lips, Elliott Smith, Kaiser Chiefs, Futureheads, Wilco, Eels, Nine Inch Nails, Weezer, uh... can't think of others.

Older: DEVO, Beatles, Rolling Stones, Zappa, Tom Petty, maybe some Hendrix... ELO, Boston, the list goes on...

Foo Fighters is awesome!  Weezer is good too (I pretty much just like their blue album).

I would definitely have Foo Fighters.  The rest...I'm not sure.  Maybe Weird Al Yankovic!  ;D

Hmm.. opening show, in order:

1. Jack-Off Jill
2. Neutral Milk Hotel
3. Modest Mouse
4. Cornelius, Beck, and Kahimi Karie (together)

And then, the trio of total ass-kickery..

1. The Magnetic Fields
2. Momus
3. Ween

and I want at least 3 songs they all do together, dammit.

and then, to close... to get everyone AMPED.. to ROCK THEIR ASS OFF..

1. Black Heart Procession

but only to get them nice and soothed and sad, so they won't expect..

2. OLD TIME RELIJUN!!!! OH MY GOD!!!!  :o
