Subject: Quote Yourself!

Written By: YWN on 10/17/05 at 9:24 pm

Alright...pretty self-explanatory.  It can be from real life or the internet.

From the Youth Volunteer Program last summer...

Lindsay:  Ugh, it's so hot!

Me:  That's hawt.

Lindsay:  That's not funny!

Beth:  Yes it is!

Lindsay:  Shut up.

---

Brad:  Dude...  I don't even know your name.  I've just been calling you "dude" this whole time.  What is your name anyway?

Me:  My name is "Dude".

---

Me:  What's with that "Boulevard Of Broken Dreams" video anyway?  He's saying, "I walk alone," and the other band members are walking with him.  I guess if you're walking alone, you may as well walk alone with your friends.

--

Me:  My hamster walks alone.

---

Me:  They don't say "fat" anymore.  It's "plus sized".  I think that soon they'll be saying "anatomically challenged".

Lindsay:  Are you a genius?

Me:  ...no?

---

(on the city bus)

Lindsay:  (singing)  And I just wanna be alone...  I'm pissed cause you came around, why don't you just go home...

Me:  Nice strategy.

---

Me:  Why are you always following those girls around?  What, do you like them?

Mike:  I...  I do NOT!  You're going to PAY for that one!  Besides, I saw you and Savannah getting physical!

Me:  Ewww, she's twelve!

---

Me:  Dude, what was with her saying "I gotta poo" as soon as the bus stopped?  I mean, that was classy.

Mike:  I don't know...  She's just stupid.

Me:  Sexaaaaayyyyy!

Mike:  :o

Dude, I've been saying this for YEARS. A few we need:

1. Theme Music. WE NEED THEME SONGS.
2. Every time someone says "Ms. Jackson", there's a woman screaming, the wind blows in really hard, banging all the shutters and whatnot, leaves rustle, and a bunch of dogs start barking.
3. At least one teacher needs to talk like the one from Charlie Brown.

I don't know...he went to the University of Nebraska, I think.  Why?  Do you know him?
Actually, if this is the same Bob Maag it would be one hell of a coincidence. There was a Bob Maag who was the band instructor at my high school for 25 years, and then he retired about 10-12 years ago. (I was only in band in 5th and 6th grade, and he taught at that level as well.) I dunno, I saw that quote about "Mr. Maag" and it just jumped out at me. He was a good guy but also quite the perfectionist, and he wasn't above raising his voice on occasion. I ran into him a couple years back, and he was working at a music store in Lincoln (Nebraska). Who knows? Maybe he came out of retirement and moved to wherever you live (Pennsylvania, is it?)

How old (do you think) is this guy?

Nah, that ain't him, then.  Our Mr. Maag isn't that old--he's got kids in high school.  And while our Mr. Maag likes to have us look good an' stuff, he isn't as strict as I gathered your Mr. Maag to be from your post.  And besides, our Mr. Maag's been here for 15 years, which just ain't possible if he retired only 10-12 years ago.

But...

what if... it was his SON????  :o

...I would consider that a possibility.  I've never seen a "Jr." affixed to his name, but you never know.  We checked, and our Mr. Maag IS from Nebraska.
