However, I still don't know that wishing inactive members a happy birthday is always a great idea. If I'm going to start a thread wishing a member a HB, I first look at his or her profile to see when s/he was last active, and then I decide if it's worthwile or not.

I wonder why there are so many inactive users anyways. ::) I looked at the Memberlist not too long ago, sorted it by Posts, and saw that there were over 700 members with absolutely no posts.

The "wishing inactive members" thing, we normally wouldn't do.. just that we saw the name and made the joke. Otherwise, we wouldn't wish random, inactive people happy birthdays.

As for so many inactive members, I think it's just people who don't realize you can guest post and join just to make one or two posts, people who get tied up in non-internet stuff, kids who get grounded and then forget about this place, etc.

Anyway, Beck is a favorite musician of ours... if you look at the original title of this thread, it looks like it might be saying "Oh my gosh, it's Beck's Birthday" (as in the musician)... when you look, you see that this is not so, the "Beck" in question is actually named "BECKS"... you look in, thinking it's the musician's birthday, and it turns out to be some random dude.
