We just joined about a month ago and love it. Last night we watched "The General" with Buster Keaton and we should be recieving "Metropolous" in a day or two.

We also have Modern Times (another silent flick), Chocolat, Like Water for Chocolate, Crimes of Passion, and Moulin Rouge.  Soon to be added Barberella.  :D

I know I shouldn't tell people this but we usually record the movies before sending them back.

(i tape em a lot too. there, i just admitted it in writing. if they come after me i'll say kim richards said it.)

:-X

(i wish i'd taped "ride with the devil." that was a great flick, but it didn't sink in how great it really was until i'd already put it back in the mail.)

We joined last week, and my husband's been the one picking the titles (since he watches more movies than I do).  :)

I am going to hold off on the fries for awhile, and my son is going to have to learn to like the apple dippers!  They is definetly something wrong when the fries dont decompose or mold after 3 months!!!!!

That guy was hilarious, he kinda reminded me of  adam sandler a couple times

well, it's been days and days so i finally said they were all lost in the mail. i actually paid for one of them, the noam chomsky thing, cuz i did kinda scuff it up and i bet it was unwatchable anyway. but that's three i've had to report lost in the mail recently. i bet they put me on hold and investigate me! sob.

it occurs to me that you could just yank those movies out of a residential mailbox and nobody would ever be any the wiser. i wonder if that's what happened to me. i'm gonna just use those secure mailboxes from now on. anyway, anyone thinking they could snarf up random DVDs from me and get all hooked up with the latest blockbusters is gonna be major TOed. cuz they they ended up with an abstruse leftist political diatribe (that's probably broken), a children's television show from 1974 and a crappy disaster movie. so poo on you, thief!

next time they try it they're gonna get punky brewster! :)

i'ma get the one with andy gibb in it.

"Punky Brewster: Season 1: Disc 2

This disc includes the following episodes: "Take Me Out to the Ballgame," "Parents Night," "Go to Sleep/A Visit to the Doctor," "Miss Adorable," "Dog Dough Afternoon" and "Bye Bye, My." Extras include cast interviews and "Growing Pain/Double Your Punky" from the animated show "It's Punky Brewster."

Additional Actors: Mary Wickes, Bonnie Urseth, Eddie Deezen, Art Metrano, Brad Logan, Dodie Goodman, Loyita Chapel, Ernie Sabella, Greg Norberg, Margaret Willock, Andy Gibb, Earl Boen, Lois De Banzie"

if it's a different andy gibb ima be so ticked.

you think that's scary, i'm tellin' ya, read fast food nation! not only will you not eat fast food, you'll quit eating!

they're taking so long to get the last movies i sent back. i dunno what the matter is.  :( disk 3 of land of the lost and a second-season space: 1999. i can't wait! But they're MAKING me! ugh.

Do they seem slow last few days to you? or did somebody steal my disks outta the mailbox? I'm always afraid that'll happen.

Yeah, they did seem very slow the last week or so. We went 2 back I think it was sometime last week and we just got the next one yesterday. Hopefully they are back on track.

mash, i should throw a mash on there. you know, i could never get into mash -- i think it was probably a little too grown-up for me at the time, and i could never get past that theme song! i hated it! did you know it was written by the son of robert altman -- who directed the movie -- when he, the son, was like 16 years old?

The show was SOOOOO much better than the movie. All the characters (with the exception of Frank) really evolved over the years. It really has all the elements-comedy, drama, the human aspect, slapstick, etc.  There have been many episodes that I laughed very hard, and others where I cried. To me, it was one of the best shows EVER!!!
