A digital camera or a new microwave.  My mom usually passes out money so I get to decide which it will be.

Does yours take the picture as soon as you push the button? Mine (and by "mine", I mean "my mom's") waits at least 15 seconds.. I hate it.

All I got on my Xmas list is the CD 'Love Me Right' by Angel City.  Gonna cost me an arm and a leg to get it imported through HMV  :\'(

I don't trust any place where you have to give a credit number.  It's safer ordering CD's through stores

You can buy reloadable Visa cards for that purpose.  That way if someone gets ahold of the number you are only out the money you put on.  No other personal information.

Many possibilities but I would like to buy a digital camera as well (any recommendations?), and either a stereo that supports Ipod or a regular one that just plays cassettes and CDs, I can't quite decide. Also if there are any good DVDs I haven't bought yet I will soon enough.

As I stated on another thread, Carlos and I usually get a joint gift. This year it turns out that it just may be a new bathtub. It went from being a hot tub, to a sauna and now a bathtub-a two-person jetted tub. Of course that means that we have to do some work in the bathroom to make room for it (like moving the toilet, and maybe reinforcing the floor  ::) ).  I'm sure when we get it installed, people are going to come over and want to take a bath here.  ;D

Oh yeah, more coins.  ;)

Without a doubt.

Year 'round, time in a hot tub is always nice. I recommend it highly.

We'll probably get a couple of big things for the house that we've been wanting, like a new couch, and for sure a nice surround sound system. And he'll probably give me some money to go shopping like he usually does, even though I'd rather he went out and actually put some thought into picking me out something.  :-\\

Many that YOU have suggested.
Like OK Computer
"I" by magnetic Fields
possible an Eels album
even... momus
and there's elliott smith, nirvana, and some things that you wouldn't really care for.

I'm REALLY trying to narrow it down, because at the moment, there are enough items for 500 DOLLARS! :o

Subject: Re: What's On Your Christmas List?

If you get an Eels album, I highly recommend either "Daisies of the Galaxy" or "Beautiful Freak".

For Momus, get either "Stars Forever", "Slender Sherbert", or "Oskar Tennis Champion".

Daisies and Slender are your best bets.

CD Vouchers? Based on what I'm assuming it is, I think I need some of those.

I'd rather CD vouchers than actual CD's, seeing as I can choose what CD's I want with vouchers.

Yeah.. I'd hate to explain to my family which CDs.. even explaining any non-specific present is hard to them. I can imagine:

"Now, what's that?"
"Stereopathic Soulmanure."
"What now?"
"Stereopathic Soulmanure."
"Spell it?"
"S-t-e-r-e-o-p... you know what? Screw it, get me a harmonica."
"What's that?"

We were originally going to go with a hot tub but we would have to do some major work where we want to put it (where there would be some privacy  ;) ) and would just be too expensive in the long run. Having a bathtub that works like a hot tub is our compromise.

Ah, righty-o. We don't get a lot of privacy, but our neighbor isn't home a lot of the time.. he's a strange fellow when he's around, though.. we're building a privacy fence sooner or later.

Many moons ago, we lived in a bed-and-breakfast, because my mom worked there.. I was a boy of 3 or 4, I believe. But we had a whirlpool bathtub there.. and it's very nice too.

Either way, you'll be very happy with your decision.

I love my Zen Touch... has 20 GB. Right after I got this though, they made the 40 GB one. Same price. $230. Cheaper than an iPod  ;D

has longer battery life too, and on top of that... the sound quality is better.

Oh, and if it really matters to you, it has volume control buttons and a random play button.

Good choice with Oskar... if you like it, I seriously advise "Otto Spooky" too.

Souljacker is a little too juvenile, and Shootenanny's a bit boring.. both good, but those are their flaws.. choose wisely.  ;D

His albums as (E) are even more juvenile then Souljacker, honestly.. that's a reason he's not one of my favorites, is his tendency to be too... childish in his imagery. Electro-Shock Blues is a downer, they say... you're safest with "Shootenanny" or "Souljacker".

Oh, and the Zen.. my friend wants one of those.. iPod sucks, I say.

His latest is one of my favorites, but it's really depressing at times.

Tell your friend to stick with a zen touch, not a zen jukebox/xtra. The only advantage of the jukebox/xtra is it has more room.. otherwise, it's worth
