Subject: What song Was #1 The Day You Were Born?

Written By: ultraviolet52 on 11/10/05 at 1:40 pm

This is sort of an extenstion off the other thread I started.

The number one song (according to the American Billboard) was:

"Ebony & Ivory" Paul McCartney and Stevie Wonder - May 21st, 1982

If you want to see what was #1 the week/day of your birth, view Wikipedia's website on the billboard charts

it may have been "Buttons & Bows" by Doris Day seems to be the answer....

hard to find any "Hit Parade" lists, some  popular songs WOODY WOODPECKER ("may/may not be the correct name") Kay Kyser
RED RIVER VALLEY Jo Stafford (older siblings had that song on a 78rpm on our jukebox, don't know if it was by this guy/gal)
DECK OF CARDS Phil Harris (other places say Tex Ritter had a hit with it that year) I'M LOOKING OVER A FOUR LEAF CLOVER by Frankie Laine and also Art Mooney (I have this on a 1976 Bi-Centenial Gold disco LP that no one liked but me  :) )

DECK OF CARDS  was a song I knew, years after the day I was born, but by a different artist....aka: a Soldiers Bible...
