Can you imagine how long it took for these houseowners to do this?  :o  I'm just glad I'm not their neighbour  ;D

I've seen some pretty decent lighting displays around, but this beats all on them, no contest!  :o

And yes, I also feel sorry for the neighbours, having that flashing about like that!  :D

I reckon it's a very clever fake clip.  I'm not sure you can could get the lights to change that quickly, at least not without some sophisticated software controlling it all.

On second thought, it does seem a bit fake....

Pretty cool. And you would be surprised at what some people can do. There are people out there with that sophisticated tech.

The lights have stayed there from last year.

The music is not very Christmassy?

"Christmassy" or not, I like the music.  And whether it is fake or not, it is still pretty cool.

I forget the name of the song used, but it's a modern day Christmas tune by the Trans Siberian Orchestra

I live near a house that people come to from miles around; it's on the news all the time for it's displays. I used to live closer and could never park in front of myu house during the holidays....
i like decorations, but it's a lot of money to light and put up....
crazy!

Back when we were living in Chicago, there was this one house over on Logan Square that was just.....stunning.  He was an elderly gentleman and he lived alone and he would decorate every inch of his house with Christmas lights and decorations.  He was in the news every year, and one year he was asked why he did this.  He said that he loved seeing the faces of the little kids who would come by the house to see all the lights.  I know that my parents would take my sister and I over there every year....even after we were in our teens.  It was part of our Christmas tradition.

He was such a sweet old guy.  He'd give cups of hot chocolate to the news crews outside his house.

My boyfriend's parents' house is like this now (Only, yanno, real, and stuff..). People are always standing in front of it, watching.

Actually it's real, the house was decorated in a town about 20 miles from me in Mason, Ohio.  The guy is whiz with computers so that's how he programmed it.  He got SO much attention from this, he was on the Today show and other national news.  His neighbors liked the display until the cars that came to see it got soooo long that they couldn't get to their own homes because of the traffic.  The year before, they actually asked him to turn off the lights before Christmas because of the traffic hassle.  Last year, they moved the whole thing to a park in Mason (instead of the guy's house) so at least the traffic was re-directed.

He's on the local news alot this time of year.

I think this year's theme (unless I'm confusing the two displays) has something to do with knights and castles.  I'll have to check.

Now they are charging admission.  $15 per carload.

Here's the guy's official website.  http://www.consarlights.com/welcome.php

Isn't it funny how life changes just because you decide to put up a few Christmas lights?  ;D
