This is such a cool picture: http://virgindigital.com/wallpapers/virgindigital1280x960.jpg

The Postal Service

Is that the Blues Brothers in the middle?

Subject: Re: Spot The Bands

Written By: Alchoholica on 11/25/05 at 4:06 pm

Talking Heads - The TV Screens in the window.
Beach Boys - Surfers next to the large spoon.
The large spoon could be any number of groups.

On the main street sign there seem to be some 'Black Crowes'

The Pixies is another fairly obvious one.

I'd love to say that the two chicks making out were 'TATU' but i doubt that.

I'm trying hard to work out why Queen is shooting Prince with a pair of Pink Dildo's.  ;D

Is that the Blues Brothers in the middle?

Resevoir Dogs.. or so it seems.
If it was supposed to be two guys from Resevoir dogs i would assume they were meant to represent Stealers Wheel (stuck in the middle with you was the big song from Resevoir Dogs) however i doubt that, it seems far too obscure.

I'm suprised nobody else found the Eels.

Has anybody else got an idea for the Goldfish, i would guess 'Goldie' (odd looking English bloke - faux 'gangsta') but again, i don't know how well known he is.

Styx are right next to...Eminem  ;D

The dinosaur next to Guns n Roses could be representative of 'T-Rex' but... you would think they would use an actual T-Rex for that.

Iron Maiden (not sure about this one - the figurine on the zebra crossing. Any other suggestions are welcomed)

Well Bugger my arse and call me Gordon! You could well be right. She does indeed appear to be a Maiden and one could assume that she was made of Iron, bloody well done Henk.

Of course, she does bear a striking resemblance to Lady Justice, who as well all known featured prominently on this album cover..

This picture has been driving me nuts for a few days now,
the obvious choice for the blimp is Led Zeppelin but what is
with the yellow and red stripe under it.I have done many of
these puzzles in Games Magazine and everything in the picture
means something. The blow-up dolls in the window, the pink
figures next to the bubble blowing girl, the contortionist in the
middle of the street.I know there is more to the two girls
kissing. If it is Kiss why show two girls? Why not show a Hersey's
kiss?As my son stated, there is an underground Texas band called
Lesbian Lover, could this be it? Oh well, back to driving myself nuts.

I reckon the contortioists might be considered to be doing Eurythmics

What pictures haven't been figured out yet?

Anyway, these are the ones I can see. I'm not sure if they've all been found yet or not...

The Rolling Stones
Smashing Pumpkins
Gorillaz
Sissor Sisters
Alice in Chains
50 Cent
Guns n Roses
Madonna
Either Jet, The Screaming Jets or B-52's
Presidents of the USA
Garbage
possibly, Deep Purple
The Eagles
possibly, The Loving Spoonful
Beach Boys
The Pixies
The Cars

I also think that maybe the two middle-ages people right at the front of the picture could be Queen and Prince. But why then has the Queen got two guns. Has this one been figured out?

I think this is all the bands and artists everyone has found....

I didn't include the iffy ones like KISS (which might also be Lesbian Lovers or TATU) and B-52's (which might also by Jet, or The Screaming Jets) etc.

Sorry, this is the best I could do. For some reason, when I saved it the text went all fuzzy and hard to read. I will try and improve it in the meantime.

I found one that I don't think anyone has found yet. That rat in the street near the Sissor Sisters might be the Boomtown Rats.

You missed out the Lemonheads on the market stall.
