What are some of the unique roadside attractions near where you live?

There's not many roadside attractions here in my city, but in surrounding cities (within like a 2 hour drive), there are lots:

Colborne, Ontario - "The Big Apple"
http://www.roadsideattractions.ca/apple.jpg

Carrying Place, Ontario - The "Murray Canal Tug" (The Murray Canal was built to provide Boaters with a short-cut across the narrow neck of land that connects Prince Edward County with Lake Ontario)

Gananoque, Ontario - The "Giant Muskie" (Gananoque is well-known for it's Muskie Fishing)

Tweed, Ontario - The "Drain Chicken"

Perth, Ontario - "Mammoth Cheese" Tower (Commemorates the world's biggest cheese.

Near me is an old indian burial mound

Also near is yet another Indian Mound, this one is shaped like a snake hence the name "The Serpeant Mound"

It depicts in topiary the painting A Sunday On The Island Of La Grande Jatte. This was one of Georges Seurat's paintings. There are 54 topiary people, eight boats, three dogs, a monkey, a cat and a real pond.

Here is a sculpture called "The bicyclist" on a bike path near me that as I was driving by, the statue did not look like what I thought it looked like... if that makes any sense.

This is a statue in my hometown of World War 1 soldiers that were killed.  It's a nice statue, it usually has a beer can in it's hand and a condom at the base of the statue.  :o

http://www.rense.com/1.imagesG/Miamisburg4.jpgThere are crop circles found in my hometown.  ::)

http://media1.break.com/content/images/bbpics/pic1315.jpg  A town nearby, named Beavercreek, celebrated it's 25th anniversary this past summer by putting up beaver statues all over town.  A few of the 250 pound, 7 foot tall statues got stolen.

Just like ^^^ has The Big Apple, along Route 66 where I am in California about 15-20 miles before San Bernardino, there is a giant Orange, and they used to sell fresh fruit and orange juice to travellers.  It is no longer a working roadside stand but it is still a small "monument" to the big-time roadtrip era.  Looks a lot like that Apple too other than it's colored orange and it is a bit more round.

When I was a kid and we took our annual vacation up to Mandan/Bismarck, N.D. to visit our relatives, it seemed like no trip was complete without a stop at the World's Largest Buffalo in Jamestown, N.D.

If you should ever find youself traveling on I-80 across Nebraska, I'd highly recommend a visit to the Strategic Air and Space (formerly SAC, or Strategic Air Command) Museum, located halfway between Lincoln and Omaha. They have a vast collection of bombers dating back to WWII, and whatever your political views may be, they have some fascinating exhibits (including an SR-71 Blackbird reconnaisance plane that stares you right in the face at the entrance) and it's worth spending a couple of hours there.

Oh yeah, speaking of "roadside attractions," I actually remember seeing this now-infamous truck stop, located east of El Paso on I-10 in Texas:

I saw a book at Barnes & Noble yesterday called Roadside America or something along the lines of that.  It was on one of the Bargain Books shelves.

There probably isn't ANYTHING worth looking at in Pensacola, but around where I'm originally from there is a lot.

This is a little more than an hour north of where I'm from .

About an hour east, near Palm Springs. You can go inside these dinosaurs, although I have never done it. >:(

Speaking of hotel suites, there is this one near Cincinnati that has "themed" suites.

Is that at the world famous "Bun Boy?"

Yeah, I guess it is.  I never knew that until now when I looked it up.  I've only seen this thermometer from the freeway.  Have you been there?

You live in Pennsylvania? A few years back I used to drive a truck cross country and I'd get out to PA quite a bit. There was this restaurant I remember seeing near a town called Emlenton (off Interstate 80), and they had a huge sign out front that proudly boasted that they had "AMERICA'S WORST APPLE PIE."

On the Sunshine Coast :  Queensland's most overpriced and yet at the same time totally useless attraction :

"The Big Pineapple"  ::)

And for reasons unexplained, in Tasmania, we have :

"The Big Penguin"  :o

I used to drive past it quite a bit. It's down at the bottom of a 15-mile downgrade on I-15 coming into California, right? stopped there once about 12 years ago, I thought it was way overpriced and the food wasn't that good.

Yep on the 15, right in the middle of the Mojave Desert.  You must have been coming from Vegas. :D  I'm assuming you remember the downgrade cause you were trying to drive a truck down it.

oh....that wigwam motel is awesome! I saw it featured on a "roadside attraction" special that I watched on PBS a few months ago.
