I don't like shopping anywhere other than a book or electronics store.  :P

We went to Bath and Body Works for soap at their semi-annual sale.  The soap is normally $3 per bar, but at the sale they are $1 each.  We bought 69 bars of soap and saved $138.00.

Well, it may have cost a small fortune...but you'll always be clean!

LOL  I'm guessing we won't have to buy soap for at least 1 year!

I bought some Christmas lights, storage containers for the wrapping paper and decorations, and a tree skirt. They were all dirt cheap!  :)

I hate shopping, shops and shoppers with every bone in my body !  I usually buy everything online.

So even tho I live in the CBD I have avoided going near the shops all week - until yesterday when I had to go and buy a new version of Norton cos I was having probs downloading it.

So I battled the crowds and forced myself to check out some bargains.

Got 5 new novels down from $29 to $19.
New black sandals down from $99 to $73.
50 blank dvds from $65 down to $43.

Actually the only thing not on sale was the Norton !  Typical.

In the UK, after the Christmas Shopping rush, it is the way for the stores to sell off unwanted stock off cheaply, so that new stock can be placed on the shelves.

Same with Aus. In fact - I know of many many people these days who either give gift vouchers for xmas and then go on a family shopping spree after xmas. Or they have the big xmas dinner etc but hold off on the present giving until January.

Our other massive sale time is the stocktake sales at the end of financial year (June 30). The 4 weeks prior to that are a great time to stock up on the big electrical items etc.
