I'm the same for some musicians.. for example, if I'm in a really good, but really lazy mood, I'd have ranked the Momus song "Sex for The Disabled" lower and a song like "Hippopotamomus" or "Bishonen" higher.

They're the same thing.. it's just that he got a permanent backing.. he had one guy consistently on Bass and one guy consistently on drums.
For me, nitpicking Eels from (E) is like nitpicking Daniel Johnston from Danny and the Nightmares.. it's the same musical talent.

See, that would annoy me. I'm a real order freak, but I also like space efficiency.. it would annoy me to have, say, This on my MP3 player Artist Menu:
Frank Zappa
Frank Zappa and The Mothers of Invention
Frank Zappa feat. Captain Beefheart
Captain Beefheart feat. Frank Zappa
The Mothers of Invention
____ With Frank Zappa
So, I'd lump those all together as "Frank Zappa" (Except maybe _____, if that person was important. If it was, like, Beck, I'd list it as Beck, but if it was someone I had no other tracks for, I'd just put it as "Frank Zappa".

I hate when if, for example it was Gwen Stefani feat. Eve
So then it's in my player as Eve; Gwen Stefani. In which case, I would just put in the song title (Feat. Eve), and make the artist Gwen Stefani. When dealing with my player, I'm not so big on doing different names.

I always list the feautured person on the album place.. like, here's a good example... Momus actually performed "As You Turn To Go" on the Sixths album "Hyacinths and Thistles"... so I'd either do this or this:

Never a problem. When I want to listen, I just go to the artist and then sort. Or I could just make it a playlist.. but I never really want one album.
Plus, if I do, I'll still have "Hyacinths and Thistles" and "For The Sixths".
