Subject: What's on at your local cinema?

Written By: Philip Eno on 03/17/06 at 2:28 pm

At my local cinema the following films are showing this week:

THE INSIDE MAN -  It looked like the perfect bank robbery. But you can't judge a crime by its cover.
THE PINK PANTHER (2006) -  Hapless Inspector Clouseau is sent to recover a priceless diamond ring stolen from a famous football coach.
TSOTSI - A vicious young gangster must care for the baby he accidentally kidnaps during a car jacking.
V FOR VENDETTA - A masked revolutionary attempts to free the people of England from their totalitarian government.
THE HILLS HAVE EYES - A family find themselves stranded in the desert and are slowly picked off by a group of mutant cannibals.
THE PROPOSITION - After a frenzied gun-fight, two bush-rangers are captured by the authorities and made a chilling proposition.
THE WORLDS FASTEST INDIAN ~ The story of Burt Munro, whose life

Heavens! I must have been in the Toff's part of town!

I vividly remember being frogmarched over there on the last day of term before Christmas along with the entire school to watch 'Herbie Goes Bananas' (or something like that!)

400 snotty-nosed kids packed into a cinema! What a nightmare!

Yeah who wants to pay 5.00 for a large popcorn when you can buy your own popcorn or pop your own corn instead for cheap.

Nothing you'd want to see, believe me...

2012
Fame
G-Force (Dutch version)
Love Happens
Michael Jackson's This Is It
Surrogates
The Time Traveler's Wife
The Ugly Truth
Up (Dutch version)
Up (Original version)

And a couple of Dutch movies:

De Storm (tells the story of the storm surge of 1953, that killed over 1200)
Het Sinterklaasjournaal: de meezing moevie (seasonal movie, about the upcoming Sinterklaasfeest on Dec.5)
Sinterklaas en de Verdwenen Pakjesboot (same)
SpangaS op survival (movie with characters from a popular Dutch tv series, set at a fictitious high school)
Lover of Loser (based on a popular Dutch book for teenagers)
Terug naar de kust (based on a popular Dutch novel)

I'd like to see Up and The Time Traveller's Wife.

Also that storm surge thing sounds interesting.  I remember watching a documentary about three years ago on this, and its affect on the UK coast.
