Subject: The Inthe00s compilation CD(s)

Written By: Windbreaker05 on 04/03/06 at 3:50 am

I thought this might be an interesting topic.

Pretend we here at inthe00s are assembling a musical compilation. Each member gets to submit only one song. It can be any style, any genre, from any time period, etc. Anything goes. Knowing this: what is the one song you would want to share with all of us here and why do you choose that song? Can be for personal reasons, or just 'cause you think it's a fun song, or whatever.

EDIT: Feel free to post your honorable mentions if you like :)

STARBUCK - Moonlight Feels Right

'The wind blew some luck in my direction - I caught it in my hands today.'

Too bad it's only one song allowed I'd also like 'It's The Falling In Love'  Michael Jackson's duet with the superb
PATTI AUSTIN - what a voice she has.

I would choose, "Cool Change" by Little River Band. It's my favorite song because I love the lyrics, it's a very peaceful and relaxing song as well.

I would pick Close My Eyes by Paul Janz.  It was my favourite song as a kid, and remains my all-time favourite song of today.  Sadly, it was not a hit outside of Canada, but if you love great 80's pop ballads, then you will love this one.  Click the title for a listen :)

I'd pick 'Betcha By Golly, Wow' by The Stylistics because it's one that I've posted on the Games Board many times...and it always reminds me of a very good friend here... :)

"Annie's Song" remains one of my all-time favorite songs, so that would be my submission.

One of my songs to reduce the paperwork Chucky would have to fill out to pay royalties to the artists.  :D

It would have to be You Got The Love (now voyager mix) - The Source feat. Candi Staton.

Absolutely LOVE it!  :) I wish more people knew what I am talking about.

Honorable mentions:

I Lie And I Cheat - Won Ton Ton
Simple Song - Lyle Lovett
Carefull - Horse

More artists that nobody one this board has ever heard of.

Probably one of my favorite Elton John songs, "Mona Lisas And Madhatters", or "Harmony".

I know that song, but not sure about that remix.  I've heard many remixes of it, and I never know which is which

They are all great though 8)

It would be the 1997 remix, if that's any help.

"That's What Friends Are For".  :)

The Rod Stewart original version, the Burt Bacharach instrumental version or the popular Dionne Warwick and friends version? ;D

I thought about this topic the other day.  Why couldn't an Inthe00s CD become a reality?  Each member picks their favourite song (which must be submitted by a certain deadline) and its compiled on a CD.  It could be like an annual thing so new members who come be a part of the inthe00s family won't feel left out.  ie: Inthe00s - The Album '08, Inthe00s - The Album '09 (and for each annual volume, existing members get to pick a different song so each CD won't have the same songs)

I would definately buy one :)

I'd add I Love Rock and Roll by Joan Jett.  (Love that song.)

My previous reply is stupid.

I'd now say "Grass" by Animal Collective, because I think I'd be the only person selecting any abnormal music, and that song's really catchy.
