Subject: "Top 10 Greatest Female Singer/Songwriters"

One of my all time pop singer/songwriters is ranked at #10.

Though it maynot be some dumb magazine or VH1, I like that she's mentioned on a list with the likes of Carole King and Suzanne Vega.  8)

Also, read the comments since there's many suff about the artist that many people don't know since she's, unfortunately, looked as a joke by many people.

Any list that doesn't include Kate Bush, Liz Phair, and Tori Amos is a crap list, IMO.

They need to include Holly Knight or Dianne Warren on the list.  Those two ladies have written some of the biggest hits of the 80's, 90's and today

This is for singer/songwriters.......women who do both.  Dianne Warren doesn't sing the songs she writes.

Does she have a recording career?  Carole King is a singer/songwriter, James Taylor is a singer/songwriter, Mariah Carey is a singer/songwriter.

Well no.  She probably could sing her songs, but I guess since she is just a songwriter, she doesn't fit in with this thread  :\'(
