Subject: Adios, Amigos!!!

So, I'm preparing to take off to Mexico the day-after-tomorrow... lots of minor details to take care of, so I don't know if I'll have time to pop in tomorrow to say my proper goodbye's, as my plane leaves early in the morning. I should be in San Miguel de Allende by early Thursday afternoon. Looking forward to seeing the beautiful city again, as it has truly captured my heart. Also looking forward to seeing my Mexican "family" and the multitude of friends I have made in the city over the years. This will be the first time I will be visiting San Miguel for the Sanmiguelada, the annual running off the bulls, which will take place on September 22-23. This will surely be exciting! I will talk to everyone when I return to the States on September 28. Nos vemos pronto, y que les vayan bien!!!

Survived the Sanmiguelada

Hello, everyone! So, I survived the amazing Running of the Bulls here in San Miguel de Allende on Saturday! To say that it was insane would be an understatement... I would describe it as a combination of Mardi Gras, Spring Break and the Super Bowl, all rolled into one! The parties started on Friday and about twenty-thousand tourists came from all around Mexico (and the world) to participate in the insanity. The Beautiful People were out in force on Friday... it looked like a high fashion show, with so many gorgeous people! Friday night was party central and I was invited to no less than eight different fiestas around town. People were everywhere and there were not enough hotel rooms for everyone, so many people ended up sleeping in the street (trust me, they were too drunk to care). I didn

Today I am recovering from a nasty cold. It seems I always catch some nasty virus while travelling, and I caught a doozy on the plane trip back from Mexico. I've been coughing non-stop, so I'll definitely have to make a trip to the doctor tomorrow, I fear. On the bright side, I've put together a calendar with some of the amazing photographs I took in San Miguel de Allende, which can be viewed online here:

So, I was finally able to upload two mini-videos I took of the Running of the Bulls in San Miguel over on YouTube (they took forever to upload!). The first clip is a shorter clip as the bulls were just released into the streets. The second is a longer clip, and you have to watch carefully to see the bulls running by, but you can hear me talking excitedly in Spanish in the background!

Thanks, Howard... Actually, almost all of the pictures I took on this trip turned out spectacular, which is why I decided to publish some of them in a calendar to raise money for charity! :)
