Poor old Linus has been sitting in the pumpkin patch for 40 years can you believe it.

I think I like Snoopy and Charlie Brown.  Everyone can relate to them in some way.

Linus is pretty cool though.

I like Linus.  I too coveted a blanket growing up, so I could always relate...

Wow, I have been watching this every Halloween for as long as I can remember. Great little show for the holidays. I am so glad Charles Schultz didn't stick to just comic strips.

I think I like Charlie Brown, Snoopy, Schroeder, and Peppermint Patty.

I love The Great Pumpkin :)

Woodstock is my favourite character.  He doesn't say much, but the way he acts out what he wants to say always makes me smile

I'm a Snoopy fan. He's cool, especially when he totally gets into Schroeder's jazzy piano playing, then starts snapping his fingers, dancing and then goes into his doggie howl.  I've watched this for 40years and watch it every year.

Her name is Belle.  I was looking it up online because I was curious myself, and that's what I found.

Watched It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown  every year.  Never missed it.  I wonder when I stopped watching.  '79, maybe...

I scooped this off an amazon.com review.  I assume the times and air dates didn't change much through the 70s...

CBS 8:30 - 9 p.m. Thursday 10/27/66
CBS 7:30 - 8 p.m. Thursday 10/26/67
CBS 7:30 - 8 p.m. Thursday 10/24/68
CBS 7:30 - 8 p.m. Sunday 10/26/69

There was a Fat Albert  Halloween special that I watched, as well.  Anyone remember it..?

  groove ;) on

Correct  :) There is a funny but sad strip where they are at the Daisy Hill Puppy farm playing in a band and slowley the band gets smaller and smaller as each of the puppies is chosen........

From the official Peanuts site:
# Spike - with the mustache, from a desert outside of Needles, CA
# Belle - his only sister
# Marbles - "the smart one," a spotted beagle
# Olaf - aka "Ugly Olaf," a much fuller-bodied beagle
# Andy - the fuzzy haired sibling

Having been a long time Peanuts fan and having known that....

On my trip to see Zella earlier this year, we went to Las Vegas for a few days.  On the way back to LA, I snapped this pic with Spike in mind :)

You're right it is Belle.  I don't seem to remember Marbles though.  Of course it has been a long time since I've seen "Snoopy Come Home". :)
