I've got a computer monitor and keyboard now. The monitor needs a new cord, because dogs chewed on it.

I haven't received my EBT card yet and I found out why... the address was marked down wrong!

..Because I've heard it?

I can remember half the lyrics to "Boulevard of Broken Dreams", doesn't mean I like the song. It's not that hard to happen to know a few lyrics to songs you hate. Plus, Beth had a bit of it as her MSN Display Name for a while, so when I heard it on the radio once, it stuck out as familiar.

rule #1 at my work, & we actually have these rules typed out and hanging on a desk. #1 Trust no one. we wrote them as a joke for our amusement but more and more we're finding them to be truths and necessary to be aware of, it's sad but sometimes true, like in your case. bummer Gis, it sounds like there won't be much respect for the new boss.

No, it's a baby store.  They sell baby clothes, accessories, stuff like that.  It's an off-shoot of Kids R Us which focuses on kids like 6-13, I believe.

Robin and I are going to do another temporary separation again after her birthday next week cause she feels I have no motivation.Do you guys on here feel that she's been using me all this time I mean I want to try to keep her but she's being ridiculous already,What does she want in life? She did this to me last year with the temporary separation until I wound up getting the interview at ABP towards the end of January and got hired in February 2006.if she wants to be an asshead, fine I say go for it.Being broken-up temporarily is not a good way for motivation,It's just stupid.I just thought I'd vent since I haven't talked about her in a while. ::)

Y'know, Howard, if you were feeling really mean at the time, you could always split with her on her birthday..

In all seriousness, you seem to be down a lot lately about this stuff, and I think we can all tell it's not your fault. If all that matters to her is that her boyfriend has a job, then she's got her priorities entirely wrong.

If after a given trial separation period you still feel down, maybe the separation idea wasn't quite right. If you feel capable of making a fresh start, you know you made the right decision. And if it makes Robin wait a while and stew in what she's trying to turn you into, maybe she deserves it.

That could just be my experience with girls named Robin talking, but there you go. Keep us informed with how it turns out.

Why ask if you should break up with her if you say time and time again that you have no desire to do so?  You say you're tired of her bull and when we agree and tell you to ditch her, you keep coming up with more reasons why you can't.  Just tell her to go to hell and leave it at that.  You don't need her crap.

I am in a good mood. Chris and I were able to go out tonight...we went down near Pittsburgh to a Japanese hibachi steak & sea house (where they cook right in front of you). The place was crowded (we waited over an hour)...but they paired us up with some friendly folks...and we were all chatting while we ate. It was a LOT of fun! :)

I feel content, and happy that Julie just got home. Not bad, she's 17, it's 10:41 on a Saturday night, her and friends went out to dinner, a movie, then to Nations for some pie and she's in before 11pm??  what a good kid. damn I luv her.  However, nothing is ever as good as we want it to be. Ooooooooh, Julie's got a boyfriend!  Okay Mike....this is what you do.  Go in there and pretend to be looking for something.  Really get into it.  Throw stuff on the floor, crawl around, smack the ground and say things like "now where the hell is that thing?".  The boy will make like a bread truck and haul buns.

Why ask if you should break up with her if you say time and time again that you have no desire to do so?  You say you're tired of her bull and when we agree and tell you to ditch her, you keep coming up with more reasons why you can't.  Just tell her to go to hell and leave it at that.  You don't need her crap.

I'm ambivalent right now.I don't know what I want to do.If I break away from her permanently then I feel kind of lost and depressed on Sundays and our routine we've been having for 2 years would be gone.I also feel that something good(and you never know)might come out of this relationship.Only Her And I would know if we were meant to be.Telling her to go to hell would be wrong.Something I want to say to her that's nasty is holding me back so I'm trying to avoid it as best as I can and that's why I bite my tongue when I talk to her on the phone and in person.I'm holding on and I don't want to give up even though people are telling me to dump her and I just don't want to start over again. :-\\

Maybe I shouldn't have told her that I lost/ got laid off from my job then this whole situation wouldn't have started. :(

Oh man, I feel like crap.

I have some sort of throat infection (have done for about 2 weeks now - gonna see the doc tomorrow) but it's my godawful hangover that's doing the business today.

Usually by mid-afternoon I'd feel ok.. but man, I must have tied one on last night.

I can remember getting to my friends house, but how I got home (a distance of some 5 miles) is something I don't know and don't want to know. I did however find half a kebab in my pocket this morning, that made a good breakfast.

I meant she broke up with another dude. These 2 are longtime classmates, no romance, but they do get kinda close and i just try my best to not envision beheading the lads, and let her have a life and try to trust her. I don't trust boys, especially if they're like you and me at that age.

Exactly.. and you know they are.

What I would do if I had a daughter is bring home derelict after derelict and explain to her the consequences of living the sort of life you assume she wants to at that age. That'll scare the crap out of her. Also, drop something in his drink.  ;)

Is there anywhere you can do a period of volutary work for? I know it's a bummer cos you don't get paid, but it gives you the vital experience employers clamour for and it looks good on your C.V (resume).

No I haven't Gis.All she wants in this relationship is a good solid job that can help me and help the both of us so maybe one day in the future Her And I can get an aprtment together but that could take many years.I can't see her and I being married but I think just maybe with a little help and support Her And I can scrap up some money to get a small apartment cause I think we both need the independence. All our lives It has been tough for the both of us living with our parents.Me for 32 years and her 27.I'm hoping this could get done not now but years from now.

I think basically this is coming from HER parents.

I honestly wouldn't care (and don't think hubby would either ;)).

Seriously, though.  If this is how she "punishes" you, what is she going to do IF you ever end up "together" in an apartment?  When things get rough is she going to run back home to mommy & daddy and leave you stuck with the bills and everything?  I know it's easier said than done because you have a history and are in your "comfort zone" with her, but it's really not healthy to be in a relationship like this and you have to get out of it.  Not just temporarily, either.  You have bent over backwards trying to please her and all she does is sh!t on you if you don't do exactly as she says.  It's not like you got fired because you goofed off or something like that, they simply didn't have enough work for you to do.  It happens.  It's happened to me and almost everyone I know.  Some day mommy and daddy aren't going to be around to tell her what to do and what is she going to do then? ???

He handled himself well.  Whenever he has appointments at the vet, our dad takes him in the Land Rover, but my sister and I had had to take him in her car....which is considerably smaller.  He behaved like a little gentleman, so we had no problems.  Neither my mom, sister nor I noticed what was wrong with his eye, but my dad did.  He told my sister to go over there after class to see when this week we could get him in, but as soon as we told the vet what was going on, the vet said we had to bring him over ASAP.  \

He's a trooper.  :)

He does.  This animal hospital is great.....the vets are super-friendly and the staff that work there are really nice.  Our cat is really, REALLY skittish around strangers.  If you come up to her, she'll hiss and then run and hide.  Dr. Kennedy (the kitty doctor) is the only person outside our immediate family she'll let touch her.  It's weird.  My dad's best friend, who catsits whenever we go out of town, can't get near her, but the vet can.  Cats are so strange sometimes.

We did get admonished for his weight, though.  He weighs 80 lbs and he's supposed to weigh near 60.  So, all of us are getting more exercise....my sister and I are taking him walking in Webb Bridge Park every day.

Mama,It's really hard for me to get out of this relationship.I'm just so fixiated on her,I don't know what to do.I was just thinking the very same thing that what if we did get an apartment together and wound up having major problems What if her mother and father aren't there is she going to run to her younger or older sister maybe her best friend, god only knows,I've never lived with her before,It's kind of scary since We've been living with our Parents all our lives. We both want this relationship to work but what is she gaining from all this doing the punishment routine on me? I don't know about you and Sister but you might be mad at me but I'm going to get myself situated first and then when the time's right, her And I will date again, whenever that'll be.

November sucks balls.

Matt just called me and I broke into tears. I miss him so much. He started his new job Sunday and the hours are so crappy, I'll only be able to see him Thurs-Sat. But he might come over tonight around 3am. That makes me happy.

I should be doing my English rough draft right now.

I had a bad day at "school" today. Almost had to walk home, but Shawn and her boyfriend Nick (whom I've been trying to avoid because I'm nothing but a bum to them) were like, "No, we'll take you home." Every night when I get home, I can see that my 3 year old cousin Leianna, AKA the Beast, has been in there screwing with my stuff. I can't ever have anything beause she's getting into it and/or breaking it. I have no door, by the way. I've been beating my laptop because I'm so damn angry. I used to cut (yeah, I don't care who knows, that's all over with), but the idea sounds very tempting right now. But Matt would see and I'd hate myself forever and ever amen.

I've been yelling at people for mostly no apparent reason, and I'm too pissed to say sorry right now. You know who you are.

We were talking about out majors on my first Year Connections class tonight, and it made me realize that I have no idea what I want to do with my life. Well, I do, but my goal is too far-fetched to ever reach it. I'll never write books and be an editor for SPIN magazine. Great, I can hear the laughing.

I like your far fetched goal and don't see it as impossible. I had wanted to be a writer of fiction or biographies and never did, but I'm glad I at least wanted to. hang in there Ashley, you've probably heard this but it's a good saying and comes in handy. some days are better than others.

Heh... When my cat got conjunctivitis, we ended up having to put it to sleep. 6 months of suffering, basically.
I'm baffled, how on earth does having conjunctivitis end up in euthanasia? it's very contagious but it's not life threatening, I'm assuming the cat's immune system was shot and he/she developed other things?

I hate credit card companies >:( >:(  Just as an FYI, don't screw up and pay even $1 short of your balance if you don't want to be charged interest on the previous charges (twice) AND any additional charges until your next payment is due (i.e. no grace period).  According to my credit card company, if you don't pay your balance IN FULL each month, not only are you charged interest on the remaining balance that isn't paid, you're also charged interest on the amount you DID pay as well as interest on all new charges (even if it's before they're due).  >:(

That varies from company to company.  My husband got caught with the same thing when he paid the deposit on his car.  He paid off half but got charged interest on the full amount.  "It's in the small print"

Thanks, Mike. I just noticed that I only write in these Feel Any Way threads when I'm really sad or frustrated. I need to start writing good things...

I lost 5 pounds. That's good news to me!

The thing that really pisses  me off about all of this is I pay the account online and always use the "pay statement balance" option, but somehow my payment was short so it obviously was a problem with THEIR system ???

I suggested more money, instead I was given the option of working 7 days a week. Working 7 days a week on top of going to school 5 days a week isn't going to happen. I'd like to remember my youth as at least a semi-enjoyable period in my life. Now I have to really start looking for a new job by the end of this month. I like it here, but it just doesn't pay enough.

I was talking with my therapist this morning and I was telling her that I call Robin every day but If her And I are separated temporarily and we still call each other every day then you would say that we're still dating in a way.She was thinking that If I called her once a week then I would give Robin a chance to miss me.Talking to her every day when there's really not much to say.Maybe it's best for me to call her once a week to keep her updated with me.I was just thinking about that.

WHAT THE FECK IS WRONG WITH TIM!? Soooo money hungry, it seems. I agree with Erin, though. You won't regret it in the future.
