How do you celebrate the day?

I think they celebrate by walloping visiting English cricket sides...

Oh wait...that means they've been celebrating for quite some time!

Happy day, all...

Hence getting the game over quickly, in order to go out celebrating?

I would imagine so.....being in the Southern Hemisphere, their seasons are flipped to ours.  While we freeze, they sweat and then vice-versa.

Barbie on the beach?

No. Too much sand - gets into everything  :o

We just spent a nice relaxing day at home  ;)

Literally, yes, where I live.  It is now 11.00 on Saturday night.  Inside my house it is presently 30 degrees celsius (86 f).  With reasonably high humidity, which is the real bummer.  Of course I could go outside, but I can't reach the PC from there.  Also, the mosquitoes would carry me away  :o

Except, we rarely freeze, we don't have the privelege  ;)

So long as you are talking about the classic Bon Scott days  :D :D :D  Welcome  :P

Hmmm, tourism advertising aside...  ::)  Bloody stupid idea. What would you like with your sausages ?  Sand ?  (As Moooster already pointed out).  What else ?  Ah, a nice side of skin cancer !  Coming right up in later life  :o ;) ;) ;)

The clever locals stay indoors, Phil.

Happy Australia Day, and if you are really tired of that heat we in New England would be happy to share some of our air-conditioning with you  Right now it is 12F, that is -11C

Should have asked sometime around last April and May.  Torrential rains and flooding.  As it is this year we haven't had any snow, which is very odd.  Do you get snow down where you are?  I can be a lovely thing, taken in moderation.

Regrettably, in Queensland I live in a semi-tropical climate, so , no....  :(

The Australian Alps get snow though, they are lower down than where I am - In New South Wales and Victoria.

Also, Mt Wellington, just above Hobart (in Tasmania) gets snow quite often.  :)

I'm not sure I could stomach the Brisbane heat. Any time of the year, it's normal to get 20

Bon was pronounced DOA at Kings College Hospital in South London, a place I know extremely well...

Quite apart from being my local main hospital (when I lived round that way), I also had a stint at the Hospital Radio there...

After hearing me, people couldn't wait to get better!  ;)
