Yesterday, I got a new IKEA bookcase, as a present from my mom and her boyfriend.
It took awhile to put it together, and so far it looks pretty cool.
Man, it has a slow week so far! ;D

Is it the kind that you screw in, or did you have to use a hammer and nails? I assembled a wooden desk once, and it was torture. The instructions were written in Englush, but I think it was like English translated from Japanese ...

IKEA makes good furniture. Except for computer desks. I'm getting my next desk from Office Depot :P

I should get some more of those, they are similar to the ones at Wal-Mart or K-Mart, probably about the same price too. Ours came from Wal-Mart and it's filled to the brim with all kinds of books, and since Jess and Jason like to read I foresee that we might need a few more :o

My sister once had me help her put together a little clothes rack/closet thing. Absolute torture, and I am pretty good at that stuff.

Have you ever been to engrish.com? I used to live in Japan. I think one of the funniest Japanese-writing-English things I ever read was "bah! cute thing. every time i see him i like him"

well, we are gonna tear out the carpet and put in hardwood floors....so, probably an area rug, some accessories, some artwork, lighting...stuff like that.
