so, what can't you wait for summer?

A million reasons! 

I can't wait to sit outside on my dad's patio, to fire up the grill, to wear my summer clothes, especially flip flops, to go on summer road trips, to go hiking and camping, and to just be warm!  I love love love summer.

It's too cold and I enjoy walking the streets without a coat on.

.....I love to drive with the windows down, the breeze in my hair. I love picnics, night-time bonfires, I love not having to wear a coat, I love going to the playground with Vaughn.

It's been butt cold here for the last few weeks and that can really get you down after a while. Then a couple of days ago it got up to around 55 degrees, and when I was driving to work I rolled down the window and cranked up some Ramones, and I felt like a new man. I'd been getting a pretty bad case of the winter blues and that really lifted my spirits.

Nothing beats driving around on a nice day with the Ramones cranked up.  ;)

actually they annoy me a bit. Around here, they ride their bikes so fast up and down the street and they DO NOT look for cars. When we first moved into our house (2 summers ago)....I was driving down my street, and I slowly made a left turn onto a smaller side street...all of a sudden, this kid on a bike...just FLIES out of an alley...and he smashes right into my car. I didn't hit him...he literally hit me.  He flew off of his bike, and Chris got out of the car to see if he was ok. I was pretty pissed off because it was clearly his fault, he should NOT have been going that fast, and he should have looked before he just tore out into a main street. Luckily the brat kid was ok...and my car wasn't damaged. It was funny, as soon as Chris got out of the car (he's on the husky side)...the kid was all, "I'm really sorry for running into you" etc....crazy kids. ::) :D

It's like the best summer music, no?  ;)

I know you do, girl.  It's either Savannah or Washington D.C., we haven't decided.  We both really want to go back to D.C. since the last time we were there was 13 years ago.  We're obviously a lot older and a lot more mature....we can enjoy the sites better than we did when we were younger.  Karen really wants to go to Arlington and see the Challenger and Columbia memorial and I want to see the Kennedy graves.

See, there's so much my parents dragged us to and we never paid the kind of attention that we should have because it rainy, cold and we were tired.  If my sister and I go, we can go at our own pace, see the things we want to, and really get something out of it.

We went to DC in the dead of winter a few years ago.  It snowed and stuff and it was cold but it was still really cool to see all the monuments and stuff.  We also stopped in Philly on the way up to Toronto to hang with my Canadian family.

I always thought it'd be nicer to live in the tropics where it's like, 30 degrees (90 F) all year round, but that'd get old quite fast. Always nice to have that cold bit during the year that makes you appreciate summer more when it arrives.

that's actually one of my favorite drives. Beth's boyfriend Justin lives out that way (near Lancaster). We are probably going to spend a day in Lancaster (take Vaughn on a train ride, to this small park called DutchWonderland, and then the next day go to Hershey). :)

Oh, so many reasons..

1. My band will begin regular rehearsals this summer, come the beginning of June.
2. I'll be working 4 days a week, and with the minimum wage increase I'll be making quite a good bit on each paycheck, which will go nicely in buying new equipment.
3. The drive-thru opens up, and this will be my first summer driving.
4. Going to some concerts all over the place, and I'll be driving myself and my friends.

I didn't get much of a tan last summer because I was too... I dunno, embarrassed? to wear a bathing suit and whatnot. I barely swam and didn't get the tan I normally get every summer. And man, do I get dark.

i begin now by using a light instant home tanning lotion. i'm just beginning to get color now.

damn...today was the farthest thing from summer....it was freezing cold, half rain/half snow, very windy....it made me mad. I want it to get warm and sunny!!

I was rather disappointed about this summer because July was mostly wet and parts of the UK were even flooded. The Rihanna song umbrella was partly to blame according to superstition experts.

HA! You guys too, huh? That's what they're predicting for the next week in Chicago. I'm so effin' tired of hot weather. I want Autumn weather for a whole week instead of just one day! :P

Summer was just awful here in New York.I think July was mostly the hot steamiest month on record.

...it's supposed to be alot warmer this year than last. Due to a La-Nina weather system (google it if you want to know more). Maybe summer will occur in December-February, not February-April as it did last summer.

And we might even get a few more thunderstorms than last year too.
