Well....sometimes the blinker blinks normally, but most of the time it lights up but doesn't blink.  Also, the back tail light on the right side, which is the one we changed this summer, is dim and this is the same side that we are having the blinker problem.
If you have the manual, it probably says what blinker behavior to expect when it's going out.

Went to my friends house after work, ate pizza and made plans to book a weekend in Las Vegas. Came home and smelled what i thought was gas in the house, & ended up calling the gas/electric company to come check it out. I had a superb technician come out and checked for leaks and actually found one in our central heater. A screw had come loose and was leaking a little natural gas. not enough to kill us or blow up the house, but it smelled. He fixed it & all is well now.

I'm going to get Vaughn's hair cut today....it totally needs it...the poor kid, his bangs are in his face! ;D  Then, I am going to work later.

Going to Blockbuster to rent the kids some movies.  My daughter is sick and home from school until Monday...she's driving me nuts.  :o  She is walking around the house saying "I'm bored" and I look at all the toys and crap and wonder how in the world can this kid be bored?

I cut my own bangs,they don't look too bad, but at least they are out of my eyes.  I hate paying a shop $15 to just trim my bangs.
I'm waiting to hear how much the garage wants to charge to fix my car.  The place that towed it got BAD reviews on the internet and I called my hubby to tell him that, he said he'd keep his eyes open, so geez....I'm hoping it turns out alright.

Had the work day from hell, so I am collapsed with a large glass of wine.

I went to my volunteer site today and everyone wished me good luck on my interview tomorrow,Hopefully,It won't be pushed back another week.

Spent yesterday at home with Dai.  Completely unneccesary really.  The hospital made it sound like he'd be at deaths door after his general anaesthetic whereas in reality he was doing some DIY  ::)

I also took the car in to be serviced.  Â£653 they quoted me to do all the work.  :o  When i went to collect it they'd knocked a bit off the bill for having all the work done at that time.  I'm annoyed with it.  I was charged £11 for them to adjust the handbrake and it's so over adjusted it takes me both hands pulling hard to get the brake to engage.

Today I am headed out to Chuckie Country(the Worcester area) to the Special Olympics.  Jake is on a basketball team and they will play today and tomorrow.  He is the center and leading team scorer, but alas, the team is called the Celtics and rightfully so.  They have a good time though, and there is a dance and all that so it will be fun.  :)

Today we took a 2 hour drive to help my parents pick up this diningroom furniture they purchased. It turned out to be a really nice day, even though I got my stinking cold back.

Today I returned home from the religious education conference I went to in Anaheim. It actually goes on all weekend (ending tomorrow night), but we only intended to stay for (I guess) half of it. It was fun to go there; I attended a couple of workshops and helped out in other regards.

My sister and I went to the Mall.  Yay Capitalism!

we went out to dinner with friends, it was really good and darn that Diane, she told the waitress we were there for me & my friends birthday so after dinner the waitresses and waiters came over and sang a dorky happy birthday song, but we got free sundaes, so that was cool. came home and got to open a couple of presents and had carrot cake and played some cards and listened to music.

It's wet and miserable looking here today so I am probably going to lay around the house and watch DVD's or read...............

I spent the day redecorating my den/sitting room.  I painted all day long!!!

It had a light olive green paint and brick red drapes and area rug.
Now the walls are a light 'mineral' blue with striped blue and cocoa colored curtains and a brown and blue area rug.  I LOVE IT!!  I feel like I'm at a beach house.

I'll be fixing taco salads in a little while and after dinner I'm going to take a shower and hit the sack.  I'm worn out!!

I usually get some boneless chicken thing, but I have to tell them to take off the pineapple (pineapple+chicken=gross.) Sometimes they take it off, sometimes they don't. And Davey, don't misconstrue that as a sexual innuendo!! XD

Thanks. I would have called him this morning but he is spending his birthday getting an MRI on his foot. Someone stepped on it last week. It was fine until later that evening and started swelling. X-rays didn't show anything. So I am going to call him tonight to A. wish him a happy birthday and B. to find out what the MRI revealled. I know, what a way to spend your birthday.

stopped at Subway, & the grocery store on the way home. When I got home I roasted some chicken thighs and made some rice pilaf which came out pretty good. then I was elected to do dishes. and now I've been here for a little while and am getting ready to go to bed.

I'm taking my oldest to get his braces this morning, the fireplace people are coming around noon-ish (OMG :o  A 1-hour window :o), then I have to return his backpack we JUST bought him (that he's used ONCE) as the seams are ripping out already >:(  Then, I have to go get a pedicure, finish my paper, take the kids for haircuts and clean the house since my MIL is coming tomorrow.

I finished working on those shelves I made today and put them up in the attic. They're alright considering I generally suck at doing things like that. Well.. they're not gonna fall over, that's for damn sure, although they wont win any aesthetic competitions.

Now I'm thinking.. shower, take the dog for a walk.. aaaand, that's about it.

Thinking about going to the store before it starts snowing. But I have to wait for the mail before I can do that.

Well, after I have my class this morning, I'm gonna see about working on computer lab assignments. I have one that's due Thursday night, and another one that's due next Monday.

after working 55 hours last week i'm just gonna sit on my lazy ass and make music all day. might be meeting up with some friends tonight over chillies.

Greyhound isn't that bad for short trips. I used to take that to go see Rice when we were dating.

Amtrak is fun. Takes awhile, but going by train you can see a lot of stuff you wouldn't see by car. :)

New York to D.C. Then I'll drive over to St. Louis and then St. Louis to Chicago and Chicago to New York. All Amtrack apart from the D.C - STL leg.

Not even 12. On the way down to Florida a few years ago, I made St. Louis to Atlanta in less than 8 hours and you can get to Chicago from St. Louis in about 3 and a half hours at a push. But Chicago straight to Atlanta, you'd cut out almost all of Illinois and just go straight through Indiana. 10.. 10 and a half.

Went to school today. We're now on the Cardiovascular unit - geez, the heart confuses me every single time! I am at work now, until my usual time (6pm PST)

I was hired to teach a night ESL class- i taught for a long time but this is the first time in two years.  I am really looking forward to it!
I have one hour ti'l i' begin.

Chicago to NY is only about 13 hours.  It's roughly the same distance from Atlanta to Chicago, and you don't go near the Canadian border.  I-90 to I-80 to I-95.  Easy as pie.

return from witch mountain song has hit a snag... how exactly does one convey "car chase" in a song? turns out wah wah pedals alone don't do it. if all you have is music it's surprisingly difficult.

corduroy got around this problem by calling their car-chase song "follow that arab." but i can't do that.

According to Amtrack that's how long it takes. .. and trains don't always go faster, depends how good the track is. Plus they go to a bunch of places.
