Subject: I'm moving

Across town that is, in about 2 weeks. I'm starting to box my stuff up and I'm sure I'll have a few questions that will arise, and I was hoping to maybe get a little advice from you all.
Right now, I've realized that over the course of the last 2-3 years I've amassed a huge collection of magazines, mainly Entertainment Weeklys (which I'll probably just throw out), and Car and Drivers, which I also would like to get rid of but for some reason I hate to see them go to waste. Any suggestions on what I should do with them?

Why not recycle the magazines or donate to someone with a mulcher who can turn it into compost?

With magazines, you can donate them to thrift shops. I did that with old US Weekly Magazines that I had

You could actually put them up for sale in lots on Ebay. I recently did this with a bunch of Parenting magazines, and Sesame Street magazines....also, some cooking magazines...and they all sold. :) Good luck with your move, Al.

Take them to hair salons and barber shops.

You might also be able to take them to your local library. I've done that several times.

You could take the mags to a library, used book store or any of the places other members have suggested.
As for the move itself, I recommend avoiding 'professional' movers: only you will take care of your items as well as, well, you.

I'd get a Budget or a U-Haul truck.

You can donate them to a coffee shop or to the library.

I think I'll just go ahead and recycle them.

I don't know if they still would use them or not, but sometimes elementary school art teachers can use them so that the kids can cut out pictures they like and make collages of the things they like.

Or bring them to your local Goodwill.
