Limiting it to people still alive..

Chris Cornell - Lead Vocals, lyrics
Mike Patton - Lead Vocals, Backing Vocals, lyrics
Ann and Nancy Wilson - Backing/Lead Vocals, Lead/Rhythm Guitars, lyrics
Marty Friedman - Lead Guitar
Roddy Bottom - Keyboards
Flea - Bass
??? - Drums (would have taken Lars 20 years ago, but today...  :-X)

'course, it would be a trainwreck of a band, so only one man can be the producer - Bob Rock.

Lead Guitar: Two of them, no rhythm... Buckethead as one guitarist, Jack Owen (of Cannibal Corpse and Deicide) as the other. They share lead duties.
Bass: Alex Webster
Percussion: Zbigniew Prominski
Clean Vocals: Jandek (doubt he'd do it, but it's my band)
Guttural Vocals: Joe Horvath (I would have Per Ohlin if he were.. you know, alive and all, he had some damn fine vocals)

Lyrics: J.R. Hayes

Well, in order for my ultimate band to be a HUGE success, I would have to sell out and use crappy singers, rappers and band members to do this, so it would be all singers who rap and vocalize to sampled tracks of other artists ...

singers: Jibbs, Yung Joc and Jeezy

:D

Dude, Lars was always a bad drummer, it's just 20 years ago he had an actual drum kit.. and trust me, the less Bob's involved in anything, the better. I'll send you an interesting PM.

I thinkI've done this before.
I'll give it a go if i recall.....

Drums: Clem Burke (Blondie)
Bass: Bruce Foxton or Bruce Thomas  (The Jam and The Attractions, respectively)
Keys: Jerry Harrison (Talking Heads)
Guitars: Glen Tilbroook and The Edge  (Squeeze and u2, respectively)
And, of course, ME!

That would be a cool sound, 80s though it is.

Oooh, this is gonna be a brutal band.. I can't say I care for Schuldiner's vocals, but I think it has potential to work with the sound of the rest of them.

You ever hear much Crytopsy with Flo? He totally kicks Pete Sandavol's ass, especially considering that Sandavol is a total dick, same as Azgathoth.

Wait, are you talking Trey Azagthoth from Morbid Angel?

Awesome:  It's comforting to know that no matter what bands I hear about on this thread, they will never be as awesome as the band in that picture.

I've seen an anime version of this pic.

This is the first time I've seen a Star Wars one.

I posted one of thse before but now that I have had time to think about it my ultimate band
has already been assembled.

Keyboards...Keith Emerson

Bass/Vocals...Greg Lake

Drums...Carl Palmer

The only change to this lineup I would like to see is the addition of a female vocalist which would be;

Simone Simons and/or Cristina Scabbia.

(Funny how anime gets with the work-safe/non work-safe category)  :D

It came from a worksafe board, I used to have it. But I exceeded my image account's bandwith limit earlier this year, so I started removing different things I felt I didn't need to keep(Including most if not all mot. posters). Although I think it might be on someone else's image account. I'll have to check.

I was just thinking about this topic the other day.

Frank Zappa on guitar.
Steven Drozd on drums.
Ben Folds on piano.
Wayne Coyne and John Linnell on songwriting and vocals (Wayne doing back-up, mostly.)
Gene Ween could also do many vocals.
Elliott Smith (If he were still alive) would do lots on the acoustic numbers... Maybe he'd do all of the acoustic guitar. His beautiful poetry will also help with the lyrics.
Oh, we'd need a female vocalist. Jenny Lewis would do.
Donald Fagen would add some spice to the band with his keyboard clusters.
Danny Weinkauf on bass, I suppose. I have no real preference for this part.
Isaac Brock could do some neat guitar stuff, too.

Produced by Tally Hall, fo' sho'. Or whoever it is that produced Barenaked Ladies' Gordon. Apparently that's Barenaked Ladies, Scott Dibble, Michael Phillip Wojewoda, Robin Billinton... okay.
