Listen sweetie, whatever shreds of respect I might've still had left for that dude (just in trying to see the good in people, especially since he's your husband and it's my nature anyway) is entirely gone now. He's a despicable human being, he's dirt, and how he treats you on a daily basis is repugnant to me. I can't see anyone being that way to a stranger, let alone someone they're married to and are supposed to love more than just about anyone else in the world. Whenever it's possible, do whatever you have to do and run as far away from him as possible.

For the record I'm quite the treehugger Liberal, nonjudgemental and forgiving to just about anyone, so it's a pretty big statement if I'm saying that - but it's really true to me.


I can't pretend to understand what's in his mind. He's married to the most beautiful woman in the world (both outside and much more importantly, on the inside) and just is throwing it away. I would value every second I had to spend with you. For instance, I'd always be totally excited to get home from work just to see you. I imagine almost any other guy would too, heck any person at all (friend, spouse or family member). :)

You know what? I hope we really can someday before too long, because lord knows you deserve it so much. Well everyone deserves respect, and someone to love them unconditionally and not constantly put them down...but you ESPECIALLY do. I've gotta tell you I feel so helpless being 2800-3000 miles away on the other side of the country right now. I would do anything I could to get you out of this mess if I were there. Seriously. I know all I can do is verbal now, and that feels so insignificant, but I want to do everything I can regardless.

There were some college kids a while ago in Burlington, VT who did a study. They went around the city in a old beater car and when the light changed, waited and timed how long the cars behind them started hooking.  Then they went around the city in a nice new car and did the same thing. They discovered that people hooked quicker with the old beater car than the new one. I guess people have more patience for rich folks.  :-\\

i was at an intersection today...i'm going left, the car approaching me is going straight.  i wait for him to go by.  he gets to the intersection and sits there.  flashes lights at me.  of course, rules dictate that he goes forst and should not stop.  now i'm all pissed off cuz he's not going, and he's mad because i'm not charmed but angered by his gesture.

jack ass.  stupid f-ing jackass.

and when there are cars behind you going straight, NEVER EVER EVER stop to let someone go. you have no right to decide that I behind you can wait while you suspend the norms so that you can attempt to be polite.

You know what makes me want to scream? When people refuse to admit they're wrong! I hate that so much... just accept it and learn ok! Everyday I find out that I've been doing something in a time consuming and illogical manner or that I thought something was X when it was Y.. I accept it and carry on.. but some people can't and it should be legal for me to execute them in as bloody and time consuming a manner as I can come up with.

I am happy for you. It's great that you're happy. But I remember you being the same happy when you found Chris while still with Scott. I'm just worried about this overlapping thing that's going on. Rebounds never work out for too long.

And excuse me for not wanting to see that in every single post I read. I mean, this is a public message board, that thousands of people visit. And it's not like I can avoid it by going to another thread, 'cause it's bloody everywhere. You have the phone, MSN, and Private messages, I think that's enough. It's cute that everyone's happy, and whatnot, new friendships always bring that kind of excitement, but reading your posts feels like I'm standing at a table set for two, observing the two of you longingly gazing into each others eyes, and it's something I'd like to be able to avoid somehow. You'd get annoyed if I was like that with Justin, when he was on the forum, especially since you've voiced your opinion on Justin QUITE a few times, don't act like you never have, like you've never told me how you feel about him. That's almost along the lines of those who purposely wait until the last minute to merge into a lane that already has a long line of traffic thus obstructing that line.  I'm usually tempted to speed up to cut them off as I don't see how they saved a whole lot of time by driving like a jackass.  :P

   A good example is our bridge toll plaza out here.  It's backed-up, I'm near the toll booth.  If given an inch some jerk will approach slowly from my right, carefully wedge the left corner of their bumper between me and the car in front as if to pry us apart, and furthermore, look me in the eyes!   It really is a game of chicken.  A test of wills.  "What, you don't really believe I'll dent your bumper?!  I really will..!  I really will..!"

The quickest way to fix the traffic/driving ego problems is to do it like they do in Germany.
Remove speed limits, and if you cause an accident, your license is taken permanently.
Do it like they do on the Autobahn!

They would have had a hard time getting my license pulled.  I was only their on temporary duty and was driving on a Pa. license.  But I didn't cause any accidents.  I did drive the autobahn and it took a minute to realize that everything was happening twice as fast since the speed limits in the states were 55 when I was over there.  It spoiled me.  I came back and had to deal with the lousy drivers here.  The Germans have the right ideas on a whole host of things to include pit bulls.

Most people were being pretty cautious and driving a decent speed, but then there's always one idiot that you see off in the ditch up the road a bit. I really don't want to choke them, just laugh and point as I drive by!  ;D

i remember once in high school we were all "partying" and later on walking down the road with a nice comfortable beer-and-other-things buzz and there was like inches of unplowed snow on the road. so we saw this guy driving like a preposterous idiot, this other car pulls out and gets stuck in the ice and then numnuts hits the brakes like THREE BLOCKS AWAY! but he's going so fast he just slides out and then we watch the car just slide for like a full minute, it wasn't going fast enough to hurt anyone but you knew it was gonna hit this other car and it was so decidedly gonna be this nimrod's fault. and he got a full minute of helpless sliding where there was absolutely nothing he could do except sit there and stare at the inevitable and think about how important it was to drive slowly on the snow. it was quite gratifying to stand there and watch it all unfold.

I have a similar story:

I was getting ready to turn into my in-laws' driveway. They live on a hill, with a rather steep incline.
This car was behind me, and decided they were too damn important to wait until I had pulled into the driveway. So they gunned their motor, pulled around my driver's side, and promptly sent the vehicle into sideswiping a hillbank.

When I left my in-laws', they were down the street, glaring at me, as if I did something wrong.

2 points:
1. The street was marked with a solid double yellow. This made it illegal to pass.
2. I did not hinder any flow of traffic. These twerps simply wanted to be self-important, and ended up doing a bad number on their car.

Ha! He learned a good lesson that night! I remember being a teenager with a new license, an empty parking lot, and a fresh coating of snow! DONUTS!!

Some guy almost ran into me today.  He was preparing to stop and I waited for him to slow down before I entered the crosswalk.  Then he just kinda kept going.  I stared him down and he just kept rolling through the stop sign.  I saw that he was on the phone.

I probably would've kicked the car to show my contempt, but it was really farking cold and I didn't feel like getting shot tonight.

People who talk on their cellphone ... while they are in a bathroom stall.  I mean how important is your call that you can't wait until you've finished yer crap. 

If I'm in a bathroom and I hear a guy in a stall on the cellphone, I mess with him.  If I'm lucky and I hear him say his name, I will yell something like "oh <name> your hands feel so good on my silky smooth ass.  Come on now, give it to me harder" :D

This girl wrote off my Dad's car by driving like a bat out of hell i n the snow and loosing control. She tries to blame my Dad fro being parked in the wrong place!  ::)  Anyways her husband arrived and just went what have you done now? and admited she had wrecked 3 cars already by driving like an idiot.



My grumble is I have a load of clothes listed on Ebay. I always put sizes and measurements and yet I have had 4 emails now with questions like what is the shoulder size? or what is the sleeve length?

To me, the thing between you and Marty seemed more of a relationship disguised in a friendship costume, because friends don't generally say that kind of stuff to each other. Even though it's been awhile now, and it may have worked itself out, I can't sit here and watch this exchange going on without saying something.


While I might've gotten a little overboard with the semi flirting, on a serious note, falling in love with Erin wasn't anything I intended to happen. It just feel into place over time by us talking and bonding in general. Especially over what's happened in her personal life the last 3 months, and you know what? Because of its incidental nature, it's one of the most beautiful things that I could never describe. :)

Sure, I've had other girlfriends before and have cared about people (I'm that way normally anyway), but this far surpasses anything I've ever felt about anyone. For the first time in my life, when I hear love songs (even if I've liked them forever anyway) or see romantic movies and TV shows, I can say that I know EXACTLY how they feel.

All I want to do is find some way to help her improve not only her self-esteem, but her living situation. While I would do anything for that (and am working towards saving up enough money to move out there...as well as completing my degree), keep in mind that'll take like a year and a half before it falls into place. Although even if it were tomorrow, I would not rush her to do anything, no matter what...just because that's MY nature.

Look, if someone came up to me and said that I could live in the same town as her for (just being random here) 1 year, but it would only be as platonic friends, I wouldn't even have to think about it for one second, I'd do it. That's what matters to me.

Just as a comparison point - I've commonly said how I despise the way alot of men tend to treat women. While it's mostly true with things concerning sex (i.e. trying to get them to sleep with them; caring more about getting laid than the girls' feelings or spending time with them; pervy comments in general), it can range from that to minor things. Including rushing them into relationships when they may or may not be ready, just for their own desires. I despise that just as much as guys imposing their horndog side onto girls...because BOTH are a form of pressuring them.

There's a Sting song called "If You Love Somebody Set them Free", and I totally agree with that. Meaning if you really do love someone you'll look out for what they want and their own well being above your own, because of how important they are. That's how I feel and I could care less about myself in comparison.


P.S. My sigline under the avatar is from a 1991 Paula Abdul song - I didn't make it up lol. Even though it does kinda fit the way I feel, let's not go taking something like that TOO seriously. ;)

Unless you've secretly been a part of my family for countless years (Which I highly doubt for several reasons), or hiding within the walls of my house, then you really don't know what you're talking about. I don't want to see the same mistakes being made over and over. That won't make life ANY better. When a mistake is once made, it's best to not let history repeat itself. To sit back, and have someone's back, when you know it's not the right time for certain things, especially when said things have been done before (Not just with the people involved), THAT is letting your family down. I'm not one to sit back, and watch people crash and burn over and over, sorry, Danoota, that's not how I roll.

The very first post I made, concerning what makes me apparently want to "Choke Some SOB", was actually in jest. It could have been easily brushed off with one of Erin's signature "LOL!  :D"'s, and everything would have been alright. There was no reason to play the victim card, she knows VERY WELL how I joke around. Then, when the Myspace blogs started being posted about me, I thought "Yanno, screw this, might as well keep going, and tell her exactly what's going on in my head now..". I would have sent her a PM, but damn, now that she already put it out into the open...
