If the field appears to be clear, casually approach her, and make a little small talk, before asking her.
If she says no, then just take it for what it is, and politely excuse yourself.

Mad as f**k. So last Friday night, I had bought three different types of booze (Kahlua, apple pucker, and premixed Long Island iced teas). The bottle of tea got broken on Friday night by my sister's friend. I wasn't too mad because the shopping bags were flimsy and he didn't have a good grip on it. When I went to bed on Friday night, a half bottle of Kahlua and most of the apple pucker was left. Last night I went looking for them. They were gone. My goddamned sister's leech of a friend took it ALL. Then tonight I went to get my bottle of SKYY vodka (you know, the top shelf expensive sh*t) that I had had from a couple of weeks ago to mix a screwdriver. There was maybe two inches to this bottle left when I got it out of the cabinet. I distinctly remember there being at least a half a bottle left over before her damned friend was around. I am SO pissed right now because SKYY vodka is not cheap and I didn't buy all that alcohol for his lush ass to drink.

Oh, he's going to be one sorry ho when I see him again...

Today was a weird day.  I went to this beauty school to get my hair done (because I had a $10 coupon).  I'd been there before and the student did a good job.  Today, they had a special for hair color and a cut.  I arrived at 1:30 (my appointment), the girl didn't start coloring my hair until a hour later (I was sitting at her station even), and then 2 hours later the color is finally done.  She starts cutting my hair, but stops halfway (only one side of my head was cut) and says "Well I gotta leave now for my other job, but I'll get someone else to finish cutting your hair for you."  ??? :o  Um, ok.  So then she brings her teacher to check out the color what hair she managed to cut, then asked her teacher to finish cutting my hair for me, gathers up her stuff and takes off.  The teacher does start cutting it...then asks another student (the same guy that did my hair cut 2 months ago) to finish cutting my hair for me.  So a hour after that I am finally finished.  It took from 1:30 - 5:30 to get my hair done and it still ended up costing $56 (with tip).  My hubby is telling me I should write to the school and complain, because the girl that left should not have started cutting my hair if she knew she was going to be leaving mid-way thru the procedure.  The color is nice, although since the student left me half cut, the teacher and other student had to recut it the proper way (so now it's shorter then I really had planned.)  But oh well, it still looks alright, and it's still better then anything *I* could have done to it.  I don't like to complain, I really don't want to get anyone in trouble.

Here's my new cut/color, it's just above my shoulders (this is the shortest it's been in a good 20 years or so.)

While I love the cut and color I received at your school, I do not appreciate having it take four hours."

Then just explain what happened and all the trouble you went through. Let this be a lesson to the student. If she's going to be a professional, then she needs to freakin' act like one. And the teacher shouldn't have let her go so easily. That's lame.

I'm silly with money, that's why.  I just remember there were times when I was married the first time, that all the money we had to go on was what he made in tips (delivering pizza) that day until my paycheck came in or his came in.  So...I guess I just kinda pass on the good karma (from those days all those years ago), even though tips are really how you are supposed to show whether you are pleased (or not) with service.  I understand the concept, I just don't feel it's right not to tip something.  ;D

Not to complain as such but to lay out the facts, there is no way it should have taken that long and as your husband says the girl should not have started your hair if she knew she was leaving. She needs the feedback so she can improve her work.

It's possible a customer may not like being approached by an employee asking them on a date when all they came to do was a little shopping. She/they might complain and you could lose your job.  it's risky.  too bad there wasn't somewhere else nearby, some gathering place/watering hole where you could prey on   ask some nice girl out for some coffee  ::)

Mad as f**k. So last Friday night, I had bought three different types of booze (Kahlua, apple pucker, and premixed Long Island iced teas). The bottle of tea got broken on Friday night by my sister's friend. I wasn't too mad because the shopping bags were flimsy and he didn't have a good grip on it. When I went to bed on Friday night, a half bottle of Kahlua and most of the apple pucker was left. Last night I went looking for them. They were gone. My goddamned sister's leech of a friend took it ALL. Then tonight I went to get my bottle of SKYY vodka (you know, the top shelf expensive sh*t) that I had had from a couple of weeks ago to mix a screwdriver. There was maybe two inches to this bottle left when I got it out of the cabinet. I distinctly remember there being at least a half a bottle left over before her damned friend was around. I am SO pissed right now because SKYY vodka is not cheap and I didn't buy all that alcohol for his lush ass to drink.

We got a late start today, so unfortunately we didn't make it as far as we would have liked, but we are out of the State of Texas!!! WooHoo! Up again tomorrow at the butt crack of dawn to drive even more. Hate the Uhaul trailer - makes our suv use more gas than I ever thought it would! :o

wouldn't do that Howard, and i wouldn't worry so much about rejection, although that does suck. It's possible a customer may not like being approached by an employee asking them on a date when all they came to do was a little shopping. She/they might complain and you could lose your job.  it's risky.  too bad there wasn't somewhere else nearby, some gathering place/watering hole where you could prey on,ask some nice girl out for some coffee.

I'm silly with money, that's why.  I just remember there were times when I was married the first time, that all the money we had to go on was what he made in tips (delivering pizza) that day until my paycheck came in or his came in.  So...I guess I just kinda pass on the good karma (from those days all those years ago), even though tips are really how you are supposed to show whether you are pleased (or not) with service.  I understand the concept, I just don't feel it's right not to tip something.   ;D

Today was a weird day.  I went to this beauty school to get my hair done (because I had a $10 coupon).  I'd been there before and the student did a good job.  Today, they had a special for hair color and a cut.  I arrived at 1:30 (my appointment), the girl didn't start coloring my hair until a hour later (I was sitting at her station even), and then 2 hours later the color is finally done.  She starts cutting my hair, but stops halfway (only one side of my head was cut) and says "Well I gotta leave now for my other job, but I'll get someone else to finish cutting your hair for you."   ??? :o  Um, ok.  So then she brings her teacher to check out the color what hair she managed to cut, then asked her teacher to finish cutting my hair for me, gathers up her stuff and takes off.  The teacher does start cutting it...then asks another student (the same guy that did my hair cut 2 months ago) to finish cutting my hair for me.  So a hour after that I am finally finished.  It took from 1:30 - 5:30 to get my hair done and it still ended up costing $56 (with tip).  My hubby is telling me I should write to the school and complain, because the girl that left should not have started cutting my hair if she knew she was going to be leaving mid-way thru the procedure.  The color is nice, although since the student left me half cut, the teacher and other student had to recut it the proper way (so now it's shorter then I really had planned.)  But oh well, it still looks alright, and it's still better then anything *I* could have done to it.  I don't like to complain, I really don't want to get anyone in trouble.

Here's my new cut/color, it's just above my shoulders (this is the shortest it's been in a good 20 years or so.)

At least it turned out ok but as others have said, you really should write to the school and tell them what you told us. Who knows, they may give you a freebie for your next hair cut/coloring.

My mom and I took Jason to the Wild Things Animal Park today. They offer a tour of their grounds and an opportunity to feed the elephants. It is very cool and way better than a zoo. These animals are so loved and well taken care of, and some of them are quite spoiled. :D We got to see the (newer) MGM lion and the inspiration for Mufasa and Rafiki the monkey (The Lion King).

Feeding the elephants was the coolest part. They are so gentle, but so tremendous. Jason loved it. We got to feed them carrots, and you could feel how strong those trunks are. It's just a wonderful little park to see if you're in the Monterey Bay area. :)

I'm bone tired now though and my ankle is acting up from all the walking. I guess I'm going to have to pack it in and see a specialist for my ankle problem when I get back to Chicago.

I haven't posted in this or any of its subsiduary threads for ages. There again I haven't posted anywhere for ages. But that's not the point. I'm actually doing good lately, seeing my doctor only on a weekly basis now - she says in a roundabout way that I'm nowhere near as crazy as when I first went to see her. So long as she agrees.!

Still occupying myself with a gentle amount of work - enough that I can come home and feel like I've actually achieved something. In slightly more depressing news I wrenched a muscle in my back a few days ago and it still isn't fixed, but as the song says, everything will be okay in the end. Okay that's a song I wrote myself... to suit the conclusion of this post...

Winter is suppossed to have startede here but it never gets too cold and even if it does...not for long. I reckon we would get only a handful of colder days each year. Cold here would be around 40 degrees Farenheit. The coldest days I can remember in Brisbane (where I live) would be 37 degrees.

The summer has reached 108 degrees Farenheit but summer normally hovers in the 90's.

We went to an auction that they had at a local B&B. The former owner (who passed away) had so much s**t you wouldn't believe it. It is a HUGH building but you couldn't move very much without banging into something. I have been in the B&B several times because whenever my brother came to town, that was where he stayed. They didn't seem to have anything worth staying for. We are going to go back tomorrow and next week (yes, a 3 day auction-that is how much s**t this guy had.)

How Bizarre! I too went to an auction today! My first ever so I was definatly a maiden bidder ;D

Man I was shaking so much when I bid but I got some cool things very cheap so I am happy. I got the most beautiful three tier cake stand. :) I had such fun I will definatly go again.It's fascinating watching all the mad bidding on the expensive stuff. The best bit of the day was when an old lady first picked up my handbag and examined it and then my friends and I had to politely tell her they weren't actually for sale!  ;D

Today is miserable. It was in the mid 90's..and freaking HUMID. I did go to some yard sales in the morning and got my hair cut today...so that's good.

Just got home from one of the BEST concerts ever  8)  Chicago was awesome, really good, and then the Doobie Brothers came on and just kicked our butt's with some of the best rock & roll music. They were phenomenal  8)  Lady Di and our friends loved it & had a wonderful time. The weather outside was perfect. At the end of the show, both bands came on stage together and performed 3 Doobie Brothers songs and 3 Chicago songs together for the encore. I gotta say, i totally underestimated these 2 bands. These rockers are not young spring chickens.I had it in my mind, they're around 60 years old, they'll be ok, but they both have so many hits, & played most of them and ended up just blowing me away. I am in awe of them  :o

Today, after he crawls out of bed Himself and I are off to buy him some smart trousers. He starts a new job on the 16th which means blue jeans only on fridyas.As the only trousers he possesses are jeans and combats he needs some more. ::)

It's still at the same company but as an assistant buyer which means more money, less hours and more holiday, and eventually trips overseas. Jealous moi??

Today I don't know what we'll do, lousy nights sleep, the weather went from cold and damp to way hot and muggy and bad air quality warnings to stay in side.  8-P

Another day of a HHH weekend with temperatures near 95 and heat index near 100 so today stay as cool as possible,the heat they said will last until Tuesday when tempearatures will be near 90 but not as hot.

Well...I was totally absent from the boards these past couple days; I had a lotta stuff goin' on.

On Friday my mom and I had a number of errands to run...including one to the mall to go buy my dad a couple of gifts for Father's Day. We also had shopping to do at the stores...and other errands too numerous to mention here. We also had other things to keep us busy.

Saturday...well, my parents spent most of the day packing for a trip they're taking this week (in fact, they left town this morning)...they're going to Las Vegas for a "dance camp" and they'll be back this Friday. So they had to use the computer for a good part of the day, and I was cleaning my room. I still have more to do; I'll have all this week. I will also have other things to keep myself busy.

I just got back from Wal-Mart.  Again, my bank card didn't work there, so I had to pay a service charge to use an ATM.  My card works at any store BUT Wal-Mart and it pisses me off >:(

I do feel like that from time to time, usually in those moments when I'm feeling not-so-confident in myself, feeling like if I disappeared, would anyone notice or would they be better off?  Yeah, those are dark times.  Thankfully they come and then they go.  I think it's human nature to sometimes have those moments.  It's good when you have someone to talk to, or to write it out (it sounds silly I know) in a note to yourself (it helps to sort out your head.)  Just be sure to destroy the note because it's your private thoughts and sometimes...you just want to keep them private.

It's good advice. Written introspection is a very good tool in organising, acknowledging and expressing your feelings. I told my counsellor I do that and she said if everybody does that she would be out of a job, lol.

You've hit the nail on the head here. I think I feel a certain sense of guilt because I look at people and, either consciously or subconsciously, judge them. As difficult as it may be to imagine (lol), I can be an intolerant person and sometimes my messing about/winding people up (I wind people up because they annoy me, lol)  has the potential to hurt. Who else is similar? My mother and it saddens me because I judge people yet I am not free from blame.

I found a few qualities about myself I disliked and I've worked darn hard to change them. It's not easy but it's worth it. I too can be like my mother on occassions now I pull myself up with an 'easy now slipping into 'mother' territory there' and it works.

Damn,it was hot in the parking lot yesterday and boy I thought that cooling off in the freezer would cool me off but boy was I wrong.I should try to take it easy cause temperatures will be near 100. :o  8-P

As for us-we are having the furnace cleaned and we are getting ready for this evening. 2 of Carlos' kids will be here (and another one MAY show up but we are not counting on it) including the son-in-law (the only son-in-law right now) and all three granddaughters. Another day of blistering heat with temperatures hovering about 97 with a heat index of 102 which I kind of felt very exhausted after a while cause it was a long 10-4 day and I couldn't wait to go home. :P

Just brought in my laptop to have it fixed and the reason for that was because the screen was black but you could see the screen but it was too dark and the icons were all there so to have it repaired will cost about $170(75 for the new videocard and 95 for labor).

We had a small storm blow in..lost electric from 10:25-3:20..I think I was having computer withdraw symptoms. ;D

Had a GREAT day. The kids showed up last night about 6 or so. The baby girl is SOOOOOO beautiful. The other two girls are also beautiful. (I'll post pics later). Last night wasn't too eventful but it was nice. This morning, we took Bailey & Darwin for their first fishing trip. Both of them caught 2 fish-each. It was WAY cool. (Yes, I got pics of them with their fish). Mother Nature timed things perfectly because a small storm headed in-so we high-tailed it out of there before we got wet. The kids took Carlos out to dinner for his birthday (even though his oldest's birthday was Sunday). It was a very nice dinner-just a nice visit. As we were leaving the restaurant, the sky got darker and darker and darker. Then it started to thunder and BIG bolts of lightening hit (we were off of a lake). I was taking pics at the time but I couldn't time it right to get the bolt on lightening on camera-BUMMER!!! But, the girls were getting a bit scared (and to tell the truth-me too.  :-[ ) So, we said good-by to everyone in the parking lot of the restaurant and headed home. We got home just as the drops started to come down. Then it hit and hit HARD!!! We did lose electricity for just a few seconds (enough to knock all the digital clocks off) and the cats were REALLY scared. But the storm has past now but I am still hearing thunder every now and again but it is in the distance. And hopefully this storm will cool things down-so tomorrow should be a nice day and Carlos wants to go to the boat.

I used to drink heavily, socially with friends, or by myself, it didn't matter, I loved the stuff, but I had no control and couldn't stop once I started. it almost cost me my marriage and my job and I figured I had enough to last 2 or 3 lifetimes and one more thing. now my friends wives don't mind their husbands hanging out with me, whereas before they dreaded it, knowing I'd keep their men out until all hours  ;D

We have a fire going on in Paradise, and one in Palermo.
Between the two fires, over 4,500 acres have been torched, and we're smack-dab in the middle location of these two places.

The fires haven't reached us yet, and we're hoping they will be contained by tomorrow night.

Working late today, really really can't be arsed. I'm on holiday next week and I'm on a go slow I think.  ;D

I'm planning to go to the circus on monday but a circus with a difference! It's based on old traditional travelling shows from the 16th and 17th centuary with storytellers and singers as well as acrobats etc. The have all vintage equipment and very old wagons and gypsy caravans that have been restored as well. I'm really looking forward to it.  :)

Today I think I'm gonna do some cleaning up around the house so that when my parents get back from their dance camp in Las Vegas tomorrow, the place will be clean. :) They are coming home via the Amtrak train, so I will be driving to the train station to pick them up.

Himself is away so I had a lie in then went food shopping. I spent the rest of the day out in the garden digging and planting seedlings out. I'm now trying to decide what to watch on T.V.

Went to an auction. Wasn't planning on getting too much stuff-yeah right. The auction was around the corner from here and Carlos had to go and get the car because of all the boxes and boxes we got. A lot of it is Christmas ornaments. A few treasures that I'm sure we can resell for a profit.

so our friends left at 2am after playing poker over our house from 630pm to 130am. Diane took 2nd place in the first game and won $15, and then I got lucky, and got good cards and won the 2nd game which was good for $25 bucks. woot!

It was centered near Aromas. It didn't bother me, but I wasn't certain if it was an earthquake or not, because we live near a busy road, and semi-trucks usually haul ass through here and then suddenly have to brake. So I thought it was just a truck braking hard. Dorks. ;D

Cleaning house, doing two loads of dishes...hubby is taking apart my dishwasher...he's a very handy guy to have around.  So while he's doing that, I'm here momentarily.  I ran out of steam anyway.  Tonight probably will go to the laundrymat when the weather cools down enough to be around hot industrial dryers in a small room.  I don't want to re-inact the boiler room scene of the Titanic.  Phew!

went to church, and then immediately after, went and picked up Diane's father to take him out for lunch. we met up with her brother, his wife and their son at McCovey's Restaurant which is an awesome baseball/sports themed dining establishment dedicated to Baseball Hall Of Famer Willie McCovey of the San Francisco Giants. The outing started off great. we were hunting for a parking space,  found one in a lot, and some old guy came up to my window and asked if I wanted his parking permit as he was leaving, and he'd paid for all day. I accepted it and thanked him. Once inside, as we waited to be seated, the restaurant was giving away raffle prizes for Father's Day. they were calling out ticket numbers and Julie looked at me and said they called her ticket #, she won a Willie McCovey autographed baseball bat valued at $300 dollars.  :o  and then she made a major league move and gave it to me for Father's day. I was very pleased. what a great kid  :) came home, and then they gave me greeting cards and a pound of Starbucks coffee beans and a Doobie Brothers double CD.  We're taking the day off work tomorrow to go to a funeral service for Lady Di's brother's father in law and then tomorrow night my friend got tix to see the SF Giants so I'll be at the ballpark tomorrow night, eating hotdogs and garlic fries in the bleachers.

Went to the funeral today, they said 20 hail mary's, I know, I counted  ::) and it was sad, because the family has lost five family members in the last 7-8  years, it just makes me wonder how much people's hearts can take  :\'(  I'm glad we were there to support my brother in laws family and they appreciated us taking off work to be there.

just got back from AT&T Park where the San Francisco Giants beat the Detroit Tigers. it was freezing, but we had a good time anyways, ate hot dogs, peanuts, & m&m's.

So yesterday I went to the circus for the first time in my life and what a special show to go too!
It is a small production based on traditional old fashioned travelling shows with story telling as well as acrobats and jugglers, so as far away from the full on stuff you see on t.v. as you can get.
It was fabulous, absolutely enchanting, made me want to run away and join!
Back in the day shows would have had a brown bear in the act, so they had a bloke in a bear suit rather than a real live bear he had me about peeing myself with laughter every time he came on, but I think that might just have been me! I swear to god it's a good job he didn't come on riding a bicycle or I would have been incapable!  ;D I know I'm strange.

The one spooky bit was one of the acrobats was the absolute spitting image of my nephew, but him in 5 years time. The same slightly mad hair and blue eyes and the same lopsided smile a bit unnerving really.

Sounds like alot of fun Gis!  I went to the circus twice in my life (once as a child and once as a teen) and wanted to run away with them both times!  Maybe there is still time.  ;D  The first time I went as a child, the circus was a smaller one (and at the time, side-show "freaks" (pardon the dreadful terminology) were still in vogue, and I just wanted to get a chance to talk to some of these folks and get their story.  I must always have been a writer or at very least...a listener. 

Glad you had a good time.  I wonder if I could talk my hubby into going to a circus?  :)

Have a chiropractor appointment today-then we are going to do some shopping-including picking up our weekly produce. Then we have an appointment with our financial adviser/friend and afterward, I am hoping that I talk Carlos into going out to dinner.

So I have a nice new temporary plastic tooth which the dentist stressed I will need to be *very* careful with, so soft foods for me for the next month! I'm gutted they can't fit me in until the 21st of July and that is only for the cast to get the new tooth made!?! I'm hopeing there is a cancellation before then. It's going to cost £160 ($240)  which will just have to go on the credit card. Bah.

Getting my hair done-and STILL debating whether to have a yard sale on Saturday. This Saturday would be ideal because there is going to be a to-do in the park and I won't have to advertise because people in the park will be able to see it and (hopefully) come over. However, the problem is Mother Nature. She is threatening to rain and thunder on Saturday. Been there, done that. The last yard sale I had, the skies opened up and BUCKETS upon BUCKETS of water came out of the clouds. Everything wasn't just wet but SUBMERGED!!! NO EXAGGERATION!!!! Most things had to be thrown away-so we lost all around.  :\'( :\'( :\'(  I don't want a repeat.

Went to the doctor this morning for routine check-up for my diabetes, it's going ok, he naturally wants me to lose weight (I keep gaining according to their scales)  (I hate their scales!  8-P )  I really need to start walking again.  We were doing really well last fall, walking around our apartment complex, but kinda got out of the habit of that when it turned cold for the winter.  Just need to find energy to start doing that again.  I found my swimsuit, so maybe I'll go swimming too.  I dunno.  I'd much rather sit here and peruse the message boards.  ;D

Went to the Pirates game tonight....against the Toronto Blue Jays...OMG, no one scored and it went into extra innings. We FINALLY won 1-0 in the 12th inning. The fireworks were marvelous and magical afterwards though. :)

ya, it was a long (but exciting game) Jeff. :) It was funny because there was a group of Blue Jay fans from Toronto...they surrounded us! We had to give it right back to them (by cheering louder for the Bucs) :D

Yeah, the game we went to in July 1990 kept dragging on, due to a lot of wasted hits (they kept getting guys on base, but couldn't score them)...and at midnight we left the stadium and listened to the rest of the game on the radio in the car as we drove home.


Flash forward to the present...I haven't checked the current game, but it might be over with by now. (CLE-LAD, that is.)

I'm gonna try to get up early so I can take Julies car in for a maintenance tune up, and then later I got wrangled into going to a friend's son's graduation party. when we get home from that,. I'll be firing up the bbq grill to cook up a pile of hamburgers for friends to eat before and as we play Texas Hold Em

Just got up and am drinking tea. Not sure what I'm going to do this weekend as it's raining outside so that scuppers the plans I had to potter in the garden and FINALLY get my bicycle out of the shed and clean it up to see if it needs to go to the repair shop.

My b-day was yesterday, but I had to work, so today Sig is taking me to dinner tonight.  I start a weeks "vacation" which is really a "get stuff done around the house" week.  I''ll think about what needs to be done.  makin' a list, checkin' it twice  ;D

This month has started with some fitness madness because I went to the gym for 3 consecutive days; twice for normal workouts and once for Spinning Class. There have also been some in-house activities that have begun such as Bingo and Pizza Night, Board Game Night and Pub Night. So far I've participated in Bingo twice and in my first game I won a bottle of Radox (a herbal bubble bath that has relaxing properties). I also went to a local pub this week.

I have had my share of ups and downs this month. I began to feel more anxious because there is one fellow housemate who walks up and down in the lounge and I tend to avoid the lounge unless he's out. Instead of cereal, toast or boiled eggs for breakfast, I rely on a piece of fruit or two. This week I was probably feeling my worst. On Wednesday I ordered a pizza that was supposed to have four toppings on it (Garlic sausage, chicken, mushrooms and fresh garlic) but in addition the man in the pizza place put black olives on the pizza by mistake and I hate olives. I had to pick them off my pizza when I got home. On Thursday I was very ill with hayvever and that afternoon I went out to buy some Piriton tablets as well as rent some DVDs. On the bus home, the driver started singing as he drove down my street and I pressed the bell as the bus was approaching the stop opposite my house, but the driver got carried away with his singing, thus missing my stop and letting me get off around the corner instead. I may never take the no.43 bus from Muswell Hill again.

My parents have given me some exciting news this month. They told me that they were coming to my house for my review next month and they are going to bring their dog Jasmine with them. Jasmine has just been through her heat phase and my mum is thinking of getting her spayed or neutered soon.

just got back from the auto shop, spent $79 to get a minor tune up on the kid's car and I'm amazed at how much smoother it's running. she got a job for the summer and will need to drive about 40 miles round trip so I wanted to make sure her car is safe and dependable.

Stompgal I also started back at the YMCA gym and have been going every morning for a 40min session, if I'm able to get myself there I always feel a lot better in myself. Went window shopping ;D this pm with Chris and ended buying a jacket  ::) Oh well it's pay day next week!!

Yeah, so we're in the SLC.  We had dinner with Dagwood and her daughter tonight, so it was fun fun.  We went down and saw the Mormon Temple earlier.  It was very pretty and ENORMOUS.  We leave tomorrow for Nebraska, and on Monday night, we should be home. :)

As I have been telling people, we just decided to put some things outside yesterday morning and bring it all back in again in the afternoon-sans ONE-I repeat ONE record. (The guy bought a total of 3 but two of them we didn't even bring outside). Yes, we made a total of a $1.50-THAT IS IT!!!!!  >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(  Was TOTALLY NOT worth the effort!

I don't know why the cart attendants always get yelled at.There was this asshead customer this afternoon who almost cursed me out cause there were no carts today and it was so busy today and he said "Where are all the damn carts"? Then he said "Yeah,Bullshiit"!Then before that,one customer wanted me to keep all the carts in the parking lot and I told him it can't be done.Wow,the outside people always get the brunt of it. >:( :(

thanks Cat, I got lucky towards the end of the game and was getting good cards and "The River" was good to me many times.  I forgot about the good old home remedy of hot tea, honey and lemon, I'll have some and see if it helps.

Left Utah.  Almost got broadsided by a doe while passing through the mountains east of Salt Lake City. :P  We're in Nebraska (Kearney) now, and we'll hopefully be back at home tomorrow evening.

We actually both got quite excited by the idea. Not bad going when you concider weve been engaged over 7 years!  ;D Might actually start thinking about it all seriously again at this rate.  :o

The most expensive piece was the dinner-including wine (over $1,000) followed by the DJ ($400). My dress I had made that only cost about $120 (I believe that included the material). Too bad we weren't closer-I would help you plan it. It would be a lot of fun.

a particular high point! i dreamed they sent a space probe to jupiter and when they turned on the monitor they saw that the surface of jupiter was dense with roving throngs of the rampaging flying undead so thick they swarmed in clouds like locusts. they fell on the space probe in their millions, disabiling it in a split second, leaving the shocked people in the control room with a split second glimpse of the sea of millions of undead on jupiter. kinda lovecraftian but ... weirder.

i keep playing this thing and thinking in the back of my mind, this is the sort of stuff the DoD designed to train soldiers to get their trigger rates up in combat. i should probably sell the damn thing and go back to playing rollercoaster tycoon, there's something about it that just seems a bit... evil, i guess.

Anyway, I'm not gonna be online much tomorrow, because we are having a system installed in our home that is supposed to improve our internet connection...and we're gonna get digital cable boxes installed on all three TV sets in our home. The process is supposed to take all day...so, I'm not sure if I'll have a chance to be online.

Nail on head mate, you got to ease up on the games it's a proven fact in high doses they can affect your mental state.

My advice, don't get married just to get married. Get married if you both feel it is the right choice at the right time. And don't let ANYONE pressure you into doing something you don't want to.

Going to the Doctor Wednesday about this nagging throat pain I've been sufferiung from, hopefully they can figure it out & recommend some treatment.  opening night for my Summer League Softball season 2008 in just 2 hours. we are the defending Champs so hopefully it will be a good 10 week season and we will four-peat since we've already repeated, and three-peated with back to back to back championships. a particular high point! i dreamed they sent a space probe to jupiter and when they turned on the monitor they saw that the surface of jupiter was dense with roving throngs of the rampaging flying undead so thick they swarmed in clouds like locusts. they fell on the space probe in their millions, disabiling it in a split second, leaving the shocked people in the control room with a split second glimpse of the sea of millions of undead on jupiter. kinda lovecraftian but ... weirder.

Jason, what advise have they given you? I have a friend who has it and changing her diet really helped.

Howard- Today is your first step in becoming a better person. You got through the first barrier- the question. The next steps are just as important, and believe me, if you handle them the same way you did the 1st one, you'll get through it just fine.

Gissie- If you are having to foot the bill for the wedding yourself, make sure it's what you want, and don't settle for less! Melissa & I had to pay for our entire wedding, and it was themed- Medieval. We had a wonderful wedding, and we spent roughly $800, I believe. (Of course, we had a bit of luck, also.)

Jason- I am sorry to hear about your condition. I know nothing about it, but I know how it feels to be deathly scared about something. My prayers are with you, and if you need to vent or chat- my terminal is always open to you.

AFU- Went grocery shopping today, and we had Melissa's mom with us. We had no real time schedule to speak of, and so we were able to do things more leisurely than usual. i go about 5 miles to the metro station. work is 17 miles each way, i'd probably ride all the way to work but apparently you're not supposed to run it very long at a stretch until you break it in.

the scooter i got is a vino 125, it's a yamaha. if you get a 250 you can take it on the highway but i love my scooter so far and dont think i'm going to miss the highway very much. it has a 1.2-gallon tank, i plan on buying premium gas -- cuz i can afford it!  ;D

As for us, we helped my step-daughter & step-son put most of their stuff into storage. They have to move by the end of the month & the closing on the house they are buying isn't until the end of NEXT month-so they will be staying at friends for about a month. The good thing was seeing ALL the kids & grandkids (but the son-in-law wasn't there  :\'( ) but Carlos' ex & her husband was there, too. Oh well. They are not my favorite people but I have so say, Carlos' ex has never been anything but nice to me & her husband, who is nice, just weird.  Man, I am exhausted.
