Subject: Music to take it all off too....

Written By: quirky_cat_girl on 11/08/08 at 10:47 pm

So, I was thinking tonight...if by some chance in hell I found myself in a situation where I was stripping, I was wondering what song I would use as my background. I think I have decided that a good song would be: Pour Some Sugar On Me, by Def Leppard. It has that sexual appeal to it, and a great beat to go along with the "moves" :D

so ya...what about you? ;)

Something hard and fast.....okay that totally came out wrong...

I love Rock & Roll is the first song that comes to mind but I'll sleep on it and see if I can come up with something better.

Your pick was a good one tho.

I'm all about the old school.

This is the all-time classic stripping song, and it's almost impossible for me to listen to it without removing at least one article of clothing.  :D

That song isn't for stripping, it is for dancing around in your underwear.  :D ;D ;D ;D

Well, I'm sure some of you know  ;) that Carlos & I are very...um...active.  ;)  And I have "entertained" him many times. Some of the songs of choice have been:

-Black Velvet-Alannah Myles
-Summertime-Sam Cooke
-Fever-Madonna (the only copy I have of that song)
-Bolero-Ravel

There are others but I can't think of them right now.

Because the only reason I would be stripping would be to "get busy";  I sure as heck could not strip for a living - I would starve ;)

I guess my song would be "Let's Get it On"  ;)

You know I wasn't sure if this tune was known this side of the Atlantic.  I was watching a side show at a renaissance faire recently.  As part of the act the guy took off a couple of items of clothing.  Dai and I started to sing the stripper song but no one else joined in  :-this one

Once i was at a strip club (this was before i realized that strip clubs are big boxes of sadness) and they made this girl dance for the smattering of frightening middle-aged loners to metallica's "shortest straw." i was like, okay, that's the worst stripping song ever, for a variety of reasons.

That is, unless your cool uncle from out of town stops in to visit and talks you, your dad, and your brothers into going to the titty bar.

Then they can be quite fun.  ;)

So, I was thinking tonight...if by some chance in hell I found myself in a situation

As Mr. Mister has already suggested, Joe Cocker, You Can Leave Your Hat On

Not that I'd ever been in an establishment in which that track had been played.  No sirree.  But yeah, you might wanna google that and download yourself a copy from the usual places.  Not that you'd ever have a use for it.  But just in case you did, I'll be in my bunk.  (LOL WUT?  There was a 12" vinyl release with six remixes in 1986?  It was a goddamn rock track, not a dance track!  It wasn't supposed to have remixes!  What the hell, man?!?!)

Fine.  Go with that, but if you want something new, go with this modern (2006) mash-up.  DJs Loo and Placido, mashing up Mousse T's I'm Horny vs. Dandy Warhols' Bohemian Like You to produce Horny as a Dandy.  Google it.  It's a mash-up that's been so officially-approved it's available through amazon.com.  MP3s available via the usual channels.  At a minimum, there's a 2:45 and a 3:18 version.
